I swear you understand but pretend to be ignorant. You say twinks didn’t want games!? It was difficult to organize those weekend wargames. Some people didn’t get to be part of it because they were odd man out or because they can’t even play at those times. Don’t belittle the effort twinks had to put in just to keep thier bracket alive.
How about you sit in a queue that says unavailablue for 4 hours, log off and let us know how your experience was playing your twink. How many people will wait hours only for the possibility of a queue pop? Not many, not enough to ever actually get games.
Twinks make up a subset of players in every bracket. Take all the level 10s who queue for 10-19 and put them in thier own separate queue and act surprised when they don’t get games.
Players that twink have just as much right to be there as the levelers. Shocking that it was fine all through vanilla and tbc where twinks were what kept games going, but now that levelers are interested in the xp they want twinks to disappear. How very convenient.
We’re Not Playing Retail So You Using Retail As Your Metric Means You’re Either Lying Or Maliciously Ignorant About The Low-Level Brackets in TBCC or LKClassic.
I’d unsub if they did this. I’ve had a ton of fun playing my 19 shaman, bought her some twink gear and matches have been popping all day. I’ve been seeing the same faces too. I think I’ve lost maybe 5 times in a row and been getting my face stomped by sweaty hunters, but I still que. this bracket is still very unique due to no mounts, I love it.
not just this but the BG rewards are good. you can get BIS blues for what, 4-5 slots at level 28, 38 etc. the whole way up just from playing a few games in each bracket. the nights i have played the games have been pretty even, they are usually a few twinks on both sides and gear doesn’t make anyone invincible. i play level 39s and i don’t count myself among the best, but you guys need to realize that there are people in these brackets like me with 100s if not 1000s of hours of experience on multiple classes pvp’ing at these levels going back to vanilla.
i guess i don’t really get what the levelers are upset about. they say they just want something else to do while leveling and this is one option that gives both experience and BIS gear including weapons for some classes. everyone gets beat up in pvp once in a while. i have 4 decked out 39’s and i have plenty of bad nights.
This has been a topic for the entirety of wow. I dont think it was cata or mop that they split twinks into there own que and then brought them back because there wasnt enough for the normal que.
Unfortunately youve described your only options que and take a chance of another pug or just dont que.
And? With no XP or queue from anywhere in vanilla and TBC classic, which do think more resembles the situation we are in now with wrath classic? How about all the years of retail where we have had separate queues and combine queues with XP in BGs and with instant queue from anywhere.
Clap all you like, but your argument makes no sense. All you have, is to be insulting. Like the majority of these pro-combined queue arguments.
It was split in Wrath (when they brought XP to BGs) and then combined in Legion (with gear templates). Then it was separated again in 8.1.5, and has stayed separate since then.
With the upcoming heirlooms and the currently existing blue PvP gear you can easily acquire, BG levelling players should be well geared to compete, even against twinks.
Levellers that complain about twinks probably lack knowledge about gearing, are not very good at PvP and/or queue at level 32 and wonder why they get killed easily by a level 39. In other words, they blame other players for something they can control.
Keep cutting your choice selections. You are so very wrong about twinks but it’s obviously useless to discuss because you are so set in your own biased view and opinion.
As you pointed out, there are too few twinks that are willing to queue against other twinks, so separated queues are dead, as we have seen in retail since Wrath.
We agree on that.
Separated queues have always been fine since wrath for XPon, even when separated.
Been leveling a bit in the BG’s now and IMO they’re not bad to deal with after you pass the level 19 bracket… They’re on both sides and sure, they’re harder to kill in some regard but often its not holding me back.
So several problems with this “twink” removal from low level BGs:
who gets to define who is a twink? two blues? 3 blues? 4?..etc
what if some highly skilled guy in full greens beat up another toon in full blues? shouldn’t there be counter twink complaint for this one? because it does happen.
Who gets to define what is a lowbie BG?
Soooo twinking at level80 is okay? You can’t say maxing out gearset in one level bracket is okay, but not okay in other brackets.
The experience lock feature offers end game option to everybody at every level, I think its a great thing to have. You have the same opportunity to gear up like anybody else, if you choose to. Your lack of motivation or laziness should not affect people that want to max out their toon with the very best. Let the wow ‘hotrod’ builders go crazy in wotlk, they are awesome to see!
Because Blizzard did a horrible job of implementing xp off.
Twinks were spread across 13 battlegroups that did not share a queue. Only twinks in the same battlegroup got into the same queue. This resulted in very few, if any games, especially in the higher brackets. Hence the unavailable queue times. By the time Blizzard merged battlegroups, most twinks had given up and either quit the game, leveled or were playing at max level.
People who say twinks didn’t want to face twinks really don’t get what happened back then or how badly Blizzard botched it.
What surprises me is the low level players crying about someone being a “Twink” while the gear gap is really small (above level 19) when you compare it to Level 70 (present time) PVP.
I think that’s just BG only players summarized unfortunately.
Grind AH for Northrend ‘of the Invoker’ and ‘of the Sorcerer’ greens
Proceed to 3-shot players with <5000 HP with Scorch crit > Scorch crit > instant-cast Pyroblast crit
I was doing the same thing at Level 60 as a Hunter in AV.
Target Level 51-52 Mage/Priest/Warlock who is eating/drinking
Guaranteed crit Aimed Shot > Multi-shot > instant-kill if target has <2000 HP.
It’s okay to do that at Level 60 because max rank and Level 51s in a Level 60 BG get what’s coming to them
But if I do that at Level 69 (when the Level Cap is 80), "OMG WONT SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE LEVEL 63s IN WSG"
And this was back when there was 10 million subs in original wrath compared to the roughly 1 million today. For example, most of tbc the 49 and 59 bracket didn’t get games at all. Xp or not that is not how thing thing went in OG wrath. Us twinks managed to get a revival in 49s (on weekends) near the end of tbc but it took an organized effort.
People really need to consider how dramatically few subs we have compared to then.
And it’s attitudes like this that will have us here desputing you the entire way.
