Remove twinks from lowbie BGs

also little nudge on the head of the personnal space whiney idiot pricks that think they can win by crying like 2 years old little girls:

pvp is pvp amy it be in battleground on in world pvp. you go into a world pvp zone EXPECT TO GET YOUR BUTTHOLE TURNED INSIDE OUT. no one will stay there and lend you an easy win, these objectives were designed to be this way because those are buffs that are earned through pvp to help pve. you want a buff? fight for it.

twinks suck as people. Love you OP. i tried to make this topic and got equally flamed by the “gIt Gud” sweaty losers.

who said anything about git gud? if you suck at pvp dont go into pvp? if you suck at classic? stay in retail and spare us your failure at playing the real way?

So you decided getting tbagged im game wasnt enough and decided to shed some tears in the forums?

Hey that guy has good gear!!! Thats not right. I am supposed to be the only one that can kill other players. Someone needs to protect me from this. I wamt to play how i want to play amd they should have to follow my rules. Boohoo

Then why do XPOff queues never happen when they are separated?

There are obviously some who who enjoy that challenge which is why I added “mostly” to my statement:

It’s not rhetoric, it’s what we see in retail every time the queues are separated. XPon BGs are just fine and XPoff BGs never have enough players to even pop.

Why not just separate the queues then?

^ oh the irony!

Is it possible to actually put together a sound argument for combining the queues without intimidation or flinging personal insults?

These are the types of people we are preserving this type of gameplay for.

They’re on both sides, the only bracket where it seems to actually be annoying is kevel 19 bracket.

Why cherry pick one sentence when the following one answer this question you now ask? People won’t sit in an unavailable queue, queues take too long so people give up. I even elaborated on this more with my comparison to a level 10 fight a level 18 instead of only level 10s (because we need brackets to keep queues alive). But keep ignoring everything that doesn’t fit your agenda.

in less than 2 weeks you can access heirlooms and twinks cease to be an issue

Twinks have been an issue for a very long time. I’ve played since the beginning and got into twinking because of twinks and how they ruined the games. I would only focus on them and play the most OP class to eliminate them to help make the bg better. Now, when it went to shutting off xp and giving twinks their own queue i continued because i enjoyed the challenge but soon even that area died rather quickly because imo they coudnt destroy people. Even removing shoulder and leg enchants you are still EXTREMELY powerful compared to the avg person. The weapons you can aquire alone that others cant through normal leveling are extremely strong alone let alone the gear. Twinks should have their own queue as well as premades having their own at max level. Having no mmr system was the biggest mistake blizzard had for along time and games the incorporated before them did so because they used this oversight from blizzard since tbc.

Yes, it totally had nothing to do with unavailable queues forcing them into scheduled games only. Try telling levelers they can only play on weekends from 6pm to 8pm and see how many stick around. I was part of organized wargames for months in the 49 bracket after the xp off split. It slowly died because people wanted to play the game and they couldn’t play the game. Not this made up propaganda that we didn’t like fighting eachother.

Oh and those 4 to 6 scheduled games you do every week you might be the odd player out so you don’t even get to participate! Better luck next week idiot! How could you expect people to put up with that indefinately? Cause they won’t. Compare a handful of games a week to a 10 - 15 minute queue between games all week long and see how much interest there is between them.

Then don’t.

Either twink, or deal with it. Twinking is loads of fun and takes lots of effort and prep. It’s one of the reasons I love this game and was really sad there was no twink presence on OCE. No one doing BGs under 70 at all.

You have to ask yourself, why are the XP off queues so long when they are separated? And this is just the XPoff queue btw, the XPon queues are always happening.

Again, it is not rhetoric, nor is it ostracizing anyone. If enough twinks wanted to fight each other, XPoff queues would be happening. Combined queues are bad for everyone except for the people who like to have a ridiculous gear advantage in BGs (and the very rare person who takes on the challenge of hunting down other twinks)

Wow has been through this numerous times already. Seems shortsighted to ignore that for classic and combine the queues.

^^^^^

I’m going to take a wild guess and say that they made this change to combine the queues because they saw how low the bg pop rates of the last 2 classics were. Granted this time around its a little different because you get XP in bgs in wrath which is not something to ignore.

All in all (as a 39 twink) I’m happy they’re combined only because games actually pop. The smashing levelers is just a weird bonus that some people enjoy, 2 shotting levelers is boring imo.

And you had to go to the cities to queue, which is HUGE while levelling. You cannot fairly compare what we have now to Vanilla => TBC low level BGs

They should have tested it separated first.

they might be “testing” it together first?
who knows. live games like this are always able to be changed on a whim.

Would be pretty hard to see whether or not separate queues would work without testing that first. It was their hypothesis that neither queue would have enough, and yet our experience in retail says otherwise. XPon queues are always fine.

This will kill low level BGs

two different games, two different population sizes, if they made this decision without basing it on numbers then shame on them but for once I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt.

we’ll see

If people wanted to play the game there would have been queues.
