Now with remote queuing for BGs the participation has climbed dramatically. However, every low level player who’s actually leveling I’ve met has the same reaction. “I’m not going to BG cause I’ll just get stomped by twinks”.
All my friends want to do lowbie battlegrounds for fun, but every match is decided by which team has a twink or whos twinks win. The previous justification was BGs weren’t popping because of low participation, but that frankly isn’t the case anymore with the new remote queue system. So no please bifurcate the queues again.
Maybe you can justify merging them again later, but right now there are tens of thousands of lowbies leveling who are either just getting griefed in BGs or staying out of them completely because of twinking.
If these friends are incapable of gearing themselves appropriately for PVP, yeah, maybe they aren’t actually capable of coming to the forums to lament about a problem that doesn’t actually exist.
One time, I died in a game of WSG. It was the most humiliating, distressing experience I’ve ever had in a video game. It’s just not fair that some Gnome can have an blue weapon, but I’m stuck with a Level 29 9/9 of the eagle staff.
dude they nerfed twinks a lot in wrath. No head or shoulder enchants (and I think leg enchant as well??? Correct me if I’m wrong). As long as your the max level in the bracket and arent in terrible gear you should be fine.
you can turn off experience. when they implemented this feature in original wrath they also made a separate BG queue for people with XP off and people with XP on. Blizzard posted about it.
If they separate them twinks will never be able to BG again like what happened in retail, without planning with other players when to queue. Maybe with heirloom gear other players can compete with twinks
their entire justification for re-combining the queues is lack of participation causing long queue times. Queues are basically instant rn because of there being tens of thousands of people leveling new characters. So the justification doesn’t make sense.
Get better gear, its not hard, also pvp is gonna be way diff than fighting an npc. You gatta dig into the toolkit for those obscure talents and know how all classes function to adapt to the imbalances of pvp.
