Remove titanforging

Where is the NPC I talk to so that I can get my TF removed?

Scrapper. It’s bottom of pyramid, just like this remove TF meme

And that gives back a standard piece without the TF? I didn’t realise it had that function.

Oh it doesn’t. But you’ll get some crafting mats in return, so you can craft some non titanforged gear, eventually. That seems more your speed.

Sounds like a really good suggestion, you just eased everyone’s worries.

A tip of hat :tophat: to you m’lord. Easy is my middle name.

Why do we need RNG gem slots on top of RNG ilvl?
RNG ilvl alone not making loot drops random enough for peoples liking?

RNG gem slots ruined Jewelcrafting. I have no idea why this is even still a thing.

Oh I agree. I wish we had gem slots on gear like we did in BC. It was simply one idea to keep the two types of forging and have some distinction.

No.

My 420 Ivus trinket disagrees.

Everyone doesn’t like to do what you like to do.

If you don’t do the highest content, why would you expect the highest gear?

This is one of those things, similar to PvP vendors, that Blizzard will NEVER be transparent about. They dodge questions about this topic in such cringey fashion during the Q & A’s.

You know they can’t give the real answer on why this crap exists because the real answer is something akin to, “We’ve used analytics and believe these systems manipulate the player into having longer playtime and thus paying us more money in the long term. Because the player must rely on RNG and never be able to achieve BiS without hoping for odds similar to winning the lottery.”

Whereas in the past you could raid and have about a 5-8% chance of receiving a high end or BiS item from the raid, or you had Valor Points and PvP vendors making the rewards more predictable and plan-out-able. Contrast that with today where PvP gear is just existing in some dubious pre-planning force gear-feed even if you out-ilvl a piece and don’t want it way. BiS for PvE requires getting a Titanforge with a 0.00008% item drop rate.

It’s just garbage. It’s just stuff meant to extend your time playing the game, not make it more fun or better.

I am actually. I would like to have a friend or two to talk to but social interaction isnt my strong suit anymore. I just dont reach out like I used to in my teens and twenties.

Ah, the argument by blatant vacuous assertion. Why should anyone agree with your “should” there?

You beat me to it. You have people who play all day long and hate seeing a casual player with something better than them or close even though they have better gear overall.

How does someone else having good gear through the content they enjoy in anyway negatively affect you having good gear from the content you enjoy?

Answer: it doesn’t. You’re just being an elitist who thinks having higher ilvl somehow means you’re better than others. And since you can’t do that anymore your precious ego is damaged

It doesn’t belittle anything. That is a you mindset. A whole lot of people who mythic raid are proud of their accomplishments and just because someone can get ONE piece of 415 plus gear from a world quest, their accomplishments are not diminished.

I have to wonder about the person who would feel their accomplishments are diminished in that situation.

You make me laugh OP - without all that mythic plus 10 titanforge gear you probably wouldn’t have killed any mythic raid bosses.

Btw,wasn’t talking to you but ok if want to be that way.

I never said people weren’t proud of their accomplishments. I said I feel it devalues the gear not the mindset. The mindset on accomplishment is not what I’m talking about.

The gear, to me, is devalued and the effort going into getting Heroic and Mythic gear isn’t due to raids or M+ at that point.

Again, I feel I shouldn’t be doing world quests every once in a while and a random Warfront to hit Heroic ilevel. It belittles/devalues the gear to me. It means people don’t have to do the content that is equivalent to the ilevel.

There isn’t any good reason, imo, that a person who does only world quests needs a 400 or 415 piece if they’re not raiding or running M+. The gear path doesn’t encourage people to run organized content anymore. And that, to me, is a concern for the health of guilds and raids.

OP wasn’t talking about world quests. Look at their gear - all titanforges from mythic plus 10s.

And there is a good reason for people doing world content to get that gear - it makes them happy and encourages them to keep playing. Without that gear, without the possibility of an upgrade people just wouldn’t do ‘x’ content.
