Just look it up. I’m not going to respond to that troll because all he does is make things up. I’m not even talking about the 800 that were just laid off. Customer Support was gutted last year.
Yeah, to their community and esports employees that were laid off. Ythisens wasn’t CS, he was a CM and the particular position he held no longer exists, from his own words.
You may take my word or not, but he is essentially correct, it was reported that Blizzard offered and does offer employees(don’t know if it’s all) severance packages.
What have you proven? That support staff were laid off in Ireland, something that doesn’t affect us here? I never said no one ever gets laid off, you’re claiming they gutted the support team with layoffs and you’re just making yourself look foolish.
No, he made up the fact that Blizzard didn’t cut customer service, which they very clearly did. And you see it in-game as well. Why do think they’re trying to automate everything?
It’s always funny when you prove someone wrong and instead of saying ‘Oh, I guess I was wrong’ they try to spin it. Always makes me chuckle.
Of course, Mogar attempting to course-correct his statements by linking to some EU payouts that have no affect on NA customer support, which is what is relavent to is, is amusing.
As I said Blizzard GMs aren’t game-specific anymore, and they’re not regional either. You think when you call Spectrum customer support you’re talking to someone in Texas? No, you’re talking to someone in India. Blizzard is the same way. Their customer support service is worldwide.
Anyway, the point is customer support staff has been lessened year after year. Blizz has been trying to get rid of these people for a long time and finally last year a large number finally took the bait and allowed themselves to be bought out.
But whatever, the fact is customer support staff isn’t what it used to be. The result: players policing other players. Which of course is a recipe for disaster in Vanilla.
