What have you proven? That support staff were laid off in Ireland, something that doesn’t affect us here? I never said no one ever gets laid off, you’re claiming they gutted the support team with layoffs and you’re just making yourself look foolish.

No, he made up the fact that Blizzard didn’t cut customer service, which they very clearly did. And you see it in-game as well. Why do think they’re trying to automate everything?

As I said Blizzard GMs aren’t game-specific anymore, and they’re not regional either. You think when you call Spectrum customer support you’re talking to someone in Texas? No, you’re talking to someone in India. Blizzard is the same way. Their customer support service is worldwide.

And half the time they don’t understand simple English.

Anyway, the point is customer support staff has been lessened year after year. Blizz has been trying to get rid of these people for a long time and finally last year a large number finally took the bait and allowed themselves to be bought out.

Even the link Mogar gave specifically talked about EU support and EU players.

I dunno, if I had a choice of losing my job eventually with no severance , or leaving now with it , I would choose the second every time.

On BFA I haven’t been silenced once. Not once for literally anything. I talk in trade chat regularly.

I think you guys are taking things to the extremes with some of these examples.

But whatever, the fact is customer support staff isn’t what it used to be. The result: players policing other players. Which of course is a recipe for disaster in Vanilla.
