as to your other point about crying, im not. i am only pointing out that you guys come in like vultures picking at bits and pieces of posts to make the same points you always try to make.
you shovel off the fact that it can and will be abused in classic with many people i know wanting to “test” it just to make a point.
im eager to see if they get “punished” for their actions.
oh i also wanted to make the point that there is no auto ban that comes from rcr. its only an auto squelch which is almost as bad as being banned in terms of classic.
but ya bleh.
Blizzard has always punished those who abuse game systems, why would this be any different.

i knew i shouldve added that they jumped in the smart car (electric of course) and tried to smoke the tires (but failed) and then did its max speed of 40 mph to the internet hq.

Objectively, it wouldn’t.
Hell they’re implementing it because from a back-end, customer service standpoint they have to. Their operations are nowhere near the same as they were back in 2004; to not have the right click report system would be detrimental to the game.
but its not rcr. its the auto squelch from it. just remove that and it will be fine.

Better to have an auto-squelch and nigh-immediate, temporary results than nothing at all.

im glad you differentiate the two, but quite a few of the people who post in these threads conflate the 2.
bout the same as the time it takes to review the person getting reported falsely.
id say better to have someone not getting punished for false allegations than to have them lose the ability to do most things in game socially.
And what about the person who DOES deserve it and nothing comes of the reports for a few hours? What then?

Ever seen a group abuse the report AFK system to vote kick someone who was not afk?
I have, many many MANY times, so have many others I know. I have seen people reported for it. Heck I have had people tell me they reported me for doing it.
Guess how many warnings and bans that yielded?
Yeah zero, nada, none.
If enough people want to abuse a system blizz has demonstrated that they do not care.
Multiboxers kick people all the time in BGS (or did back when I played) and blizz is fine with it.
But sure Right click report will NOT be abused and people will surely be punished if it is.

the people who have a problem can both right click report that person AND put them on ignore.
btw reporting someone and getting them silenced only lasts as long as the silence penalty.
ignore lasts until you take them off ignore.
Not everyone uses the ignore feature though. In fact, the ignore feature is incredibly limited, which is probably why very few people use it.

You can only have so many people on your ignore list at a time. And it’s not account-wide.
