Auto invite LFG addons and quest addons are completely different animals

Ah but how I’m posting? The name calling, the hostility? That’s NOTHING compared to how these forums where back in the day. Y’all want the Vanilla experience, then buckle up because this only a taste of what’s to come.

Again using “back in the day” This aint back in the day, this now, this the present you know like 2019 stuffs changed people have changed stop using this like it meas something in this debate.
Im for people being able to use it if it helps them enjoy the game, as it does nothing to hurt someone elses experience.

If you think people here aren’t already reverting to how they acted in 2004 then I’ve got some bad news for you…
Ah yes let me hop in my magical time machine and bust out my 1990 pc with CRT monitor and my dsl internet. Yeah were totally playing like we did in 2004.
Edit: Its not like we have mountains of information about the game from the past 15 years, its not like we have high speed internet or the option of having multiple monitors for convenience.

It’s clear that you feel you know best when it comes to how people should play the game, and nothing I or anyone else can say is going to change your mind. I encourage you to respect other people’s choices when it comes to how they engage with content. Not everyone holds Classic’s questing on the same pedestal you do. Some people consider questing the worst part of the game and their preferences are no less valid than yours.
I never said your opinions on the game do not matter. I said your opinions do not and should not determine how others play their game, given they cause no other players harm. And you haven’t demonstrated that this addon does so.
The “best” argument you’ve given is that it removes the need to socialize with other players to learn about quests. But I find this a naive and idealistic notion, to be frank.
Even if you ban the addon, I promise you an extra 20-30 seconds of inconvenience is not going to get people to magically reach out in general chat when they can get the information more quickly and accurately by tabbing out and checking online.
Ultimately, I think the campaign to ban these types of questing addons is, at worst, really petty and, at best, completely unproductive. You’re not going to accomplish anything or change the social climate of the game by mildly inconveniencing people just minding their own business.
