Or spend 2 mins looking it up on wowhead? You know like back in the days of thotbot…
This aint 2004, people know were the tools are that can help them.

Acting like people wouldn’t just downsize and open up wowhead/thottbot like they did in vanilla instead. All a questing addon does is save like 30 seconds per quest. The horrors.
Here come all the LFGClassic kiddies trying to argue for the removal of all Quest Helper add-ons purely out of spite. And they said the people wanting it gone were petty. ha
This does nothing but give them fuel to throw on the fire, instead please try to contribute to the discussion. Calling them kiddies and so on does nothing but hurt the argument.
Explain to me how a questing addon negatively impacts other people, how it forces other people to use the same addon you are using or they get left out, how it automates an aspect of the game so severely that the player requires 0 input other then to click “Go”, how it fosters a community of avoiding social interaction in a way that regular questing does not.
We don’t opt to ban addons for being “harmful” we opt to ban them because they literally rip the spirit out of this game, throw it away, and replace it with a hollow shell of what the game used to be. Just like the system did to retail.
Stop being so sensitive
If these questing addons add nothing to the game, why allow them at all? If not allowed we lose absolutely nothing, and in turn people might actually engage with the RPG aspect of the game.
We’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain by getting rid of these pointless, rpg killing addons.
this is not even close to a good argument for someone to have something only they can use for themselves. Why do you need a larger monitor, or a more comfortable chair, or a multifunction mouse or keyboard? Think of it as a peripheral. Something they have that makes there time gaming better that you cannot see or should even care about.
I’m right though. They will gladly shoot themselves in the foot and try to get other add-ons removed SIMPLY to be spiteful since they didn’t get their way. Childish.
You mean like Questing Assistance did to adventure and community? Yea, I 'memba.
If theres nothing to lose, why take it away? Its a convenience that some players want to have, instead of alt tabbing to read it on wowhead which btw hurts immersion. I don’t understand this literally doesn’t effect other players experience.
…what?
Where are you seeing the overlap between ClassicLFG supporters and those who want to axe Questing Addons, because it’s not anywhere in this thread.
This has been explained ad nauseum throughout the topic. I know reading isn’t something you’re keen to do because you use hand hold addons, but I’m gonna suggest you try it or find an addon to do it for you.
Also these questing addons are both harmful AND rip out the spirit of the game, as you like to put it.
If we’re going to start removing the mods that makes the game closer to retail, why don’t you disable questing add-ons?
From the very first post in the thread, my dude. Seems like a direct response to Blizzards decision on LFG Classic.
Again you jump to use “hand holding” as a way to devalue someone elses opinions.
Prior to questing assistance and add-ons, we actually had to talk to each other. You’d ask in global where Markrik’s Wife is, and someone would tell you. Or, someone would already be there, and invite you to the group to show you.
Not everyone wanted to go search on thottbot when someone could give you the answer in game.
Because most players weren’t aware thotbot was a thing, players today know where to look up that info, why ask when i can just google it? Or you know have it available in a addon and save people 30 secs? because convenience.
Again it has been explained again and again how it hurts the community, and the people who use it.
Furthermore it was adding “little convenience” one after another that led us to retail.
Because why inconvenience a portion of the playerbase whose gaming choices you personally don’t agree with for no real benefit?
You’d also read the quest, look at the in game map, look for land marks and signs out in the world, you know explore and play the damn game rather than having a GPS tell you where to go.
