The 50 cap is why I started multiboxing I have 5 accounts now and all the alts I want
Nah itâs fine, Iâve been multiboxing everyday the last couple weeks including right this moment lol

Alt Armies ftw!
I would definitely appreciate Blizzard increasing the overall character limit per account, although 9.1.5 is almost definitely too soon for them to make this change. Plus, there would certainly be unintended consequences of removing the overall character limit, such as bots/trolls trying to crash the system. Perhaps simply increasing the overall character limit to 75 or 100 at first to see how things go would be good, and then possibly removing the limit in totality if things work well. Or instituting some kind of system that would prevent new accounts from creating infinite characters, or you can only create so many characters per week, etc.
Lots of ways to do this, which is why it would take time to do it in a way that makes sense for most people. But, yeah, totally on board for this in any way that increases the limit at all.
100 characters are fine for most race/class combinations you want to try out.
more likely some lunatic will make 1000 characters to hold names
I really hope so. It would be nice to see like atleast 100 to 200 than being limited to 50 Characters on per Account.
Which is fair, but they could up the max amount some. Maybe to 75. Make it $5 for 5 more slots on the shop.
Seems reasonable to me
YES! More Gnomes for the gnome kebabs!
Invisible doesnât drop.
As someone who is capped this has the potential for abuse if lifted entirely. I think they should retain a 50 character cap per server as thatâs reasonable but raise the total to 60 ON the condition that you have say 30 of the existing characters at level 50 or higher so they know youâre not just grabbing names.
Saw the new 9.1.5 notes. 9.1.5 continues to be a wish fulfillment patch for everyone except me. Blizz, please.
cringe lol
I ran it ten times per week for a few months and it was too much and I gave up before I got the mount lol. Somewhere around 230 tries, total.
Edit: Iâm in agreement that the cap should be raised. Maybe ten more or something
Used to be against it, then I started playing the game more, and then got into stuff like leveling BGs. It added up fast. Already had to delete a few things that had some solid playtime put into them because Iâm hitting cap.
Iâd honestly also buy more slots. We can technically already do that by just buying another account and sub, so can we just axe the annoying part of that and just let us make more characters on a single account?
No limit, Iâd actually kill to have a warrior, monk, priest, and hunter of all the races that I really like to play with transmog, and to do BGs at in various level brackets, but itâs just not feasible.
I treat my characters more like a MoBA selection, and those games tend to have more than 50 characters.
Honestly be chill with this too.
RP servers in particular are now heavily faction split, so 50 Alliance on one and 50 Horde on the other is plenty is also another thing they could do.
I mean, sure? Like Iâm all for letting people have more fun if it doesnât affect others but why do you need more than 50 character slots?
And would 75 slots be fine or would you want an infinite amount?
I think they should do the opposite.
Everyone chooses one character and thatâs it. You are stuck with it forever and ever.
Yeah, we need this change even if you have to buy the extra slots from the store!
75 would be an improvement, but Iâd prefer no limit.
There is a concern about name hoarding with no limit.
If they were going to do a no limit, to prevent abuse, theyâd likely need to have it so you canât buy more unless youâre already at cap with characters over, say, level 50.
Name selling is a legit business, especially on the two servers I play on, and itâs been getting hard lately to get half decent names.
I can already hoard names with trial accounts.
