Wondering why blizzard dont remove rating to get elite pvp gear, make it fair for all players, not every player can get into an RBG or arena team, let us earn the upgrades with honor points instead! This rating limitation makes the game worse.

I sympathize with your desire to want a specific look, but when it comes to certain sets, not everyone is entitled to it.
While unfortunate that you don’t have the time to get the necessary rating, some things should be out of reach to those that don’t earn it.

That’s the point. It shows someone has earned a specific rating and gotten that look.
Just like there are mythic raid looks that I can’t go earn in LFR.
Personally it makes something to push for on different classes to get. Also seeing it on other players shows that they have been above 1800.
The season is still early, you can push up to 1800 in an RBG team or in arena as a lock.

Yes, I agree. Make cosmetic elite gear 2200 again and remove ilevel gated elite gear. But if they do this, 1800 players will complain. You can’t have both.

Why do you want the gear to begin with? You’ve established that you don’t have the time to push rating, you certainly don’t need it for random bgs.

If you want that specific transmog, then either earn it the old fashioned way, or as you put it, if you can’t get into groups, spend some time farming gold and then pay people to carry you to 1800.
1800 is a lot easier to get to than 2k, which is what elite gear used to be locked at.

It was locked at 2200-2400. I don’t recall a time where it was 2k. All my mop elite sets were 2200 for armor/weps and 2400 for cloak/tabard.
My mistake. I pushed to get the elite set on my rogue in legion and for some reason I thought it was 2k

I didn’t play legion, so it may have been changed, I don’t know for sure.
yeah was 2k in legion for elite set and the enchant was 2400 which is now 2100

It was 2k in WoD and Legion.
Pretty sure last season of MoP was 2k too. Haven’t been 2200 on priest and have the Prideful set.
Elite sets were never 2400. They were 2200 from s9 in Cata to s12 in MoP, did not require rating in s13 and then were 2k from s14 til BFA started and they moved it to 1800.
I don’t think your 100% wrong here. I’m an average player at best in pvp (pve i can do fine bc i can follow mechanics, but i don’t find raiding fun anymore). I’ve hit 1600 in RBGs through LFGs and dropped over 100 rating since. My gear is as high as it can be from honor, and my conquest points cap at such a slow rate, i can’t even get a piece of worthwhile gear this week (other than my chest). Either fix conquest so it allows at least a piece of gear a week, or there needs to be some adjustment for average players rewards systems. I’m not asking for top end gear, i’m asking for possible gear progression each week. This week i’ll get my chest, get my capped honor, capped conquest, and than what? I could try pushing for 1800 but I’m over 300 points away from that, and once again i realize I’m probably not a 1800 skilled player (I’m a realist).
Luckily i enjoy pvp enough that I’ll play extra games for fun, but with the rate that people leave groups after 1 loss, it’s very discouraging as well.
