Remove personal loot trade restrictions

Not many, I stopped messing with guilds and just keep a personal one for family.

No… bc we have PL

Here are our very unreasonable loot rules.

The officers and GM’s obviously missed the clause where we’re supposed to funnel all the loot towards them.

CALLED IT.

Which is what this thread is about.

No one is talking about master loot are you daft?

We are talking about lifting the PL restrictions. There are plenty of times when ilvl is not an upgrade and it would be nice to offer it to someone that can use it instead of vendor looting it.

No one can make you give up PL .

But when are we are in the same content that we might want what drops? You said yourself non raiders so you are not on the raid with us

To reiterate.

With Master Loot: The ML has complete control over where loot goes. He can distribute it how he sees fit.

With Personal Loot with NO RESTRICTIONS, which is what we’re asking for: You have complete control over where your loot goes. You can keep it to use, trade it, or even just vendor it if you feel like it.

These are not the same thing so people please stop confusing them.

Not sure how many is not many, but congratulations on finally making your own guild because that is one of the solutions that has been suggested in threads like this before, for people who have suffered because of ML.

I need to agree with this, I despise Master Loot, love Personal Loot, but it’s frustrating that gear that means nothing to be cannot be passed because it’s a higher ilvl, it’s my loot I should be able to do whatever I want with it.

Oh dear, here we go.

They can demand all they want, they can’t fish the item out of your bags.

Because they see us as some evil gatekeepers that want to stop them progressing. When in all honesty we don’t care what these people do we never interact with them in game unless its them throwing gold at us to carry them.

What do you do if someone asks you to trade an item now?

You just said you aren’t in a guild, yet are a heroic raider. By this, the only people making these demands of you can get a “No”.

So why still keep the restrictions?

It’s amazing there are people in here who seem to miss that point. Just becuase you’re free to do anything with it doesn’t mean you’re going to be forced to hand it over.

If you’re in a guild where you feel like you need to hand it over unfairly or be kicked then why would you think twice about leaving that environment?

Okay…

But that’s only true for the very first piece. Why haven’t we seen horror stories of people being bullied over trading gear away in current expansion if this is such a widespread problem. After all, m+ cache gear drops equivalent of Raid gear and Azerite vendor gear will allow for raid Azerite to be traded.

I’ve been screwed over too many times with Master Loot, Guild/Raid Lead playing favourites, giving loot to their friends or loved ones I can go on forever with examples, been burned way too many times, that’s why I love Personal Loot, it’s fair game for everyone.

But it saddens me where a piece drops that’s horrible for me and great for someone else and is soul bound cause it’s a higher ilvl.

Master loot, not saying every guild is bad with it, but obviously was enough for Blizzard to remove it, now all they gotta do is remove personal loot restrictions and we got a solid looting system

With how our guild splits gold on carries, I got paid to be benched for N’zoth.

Damn that felt good.

But seriously, people don’t understand exactly how much good leadership makes or breaks guilds, especially at a Mythic level. Recruiting is hard unless you’re the top 1% of the 1%, there is no reason to stick in a guild if they treat you poorly.

Ultimatums like “trade the loot or get gkicked” just aren’t something that exists at a level that would ever be worth caring about.

“hey can i have your loot?”

“no it’s my loot i will keep it”

“okay but why are we having this conversation?”

“i failed to ask about loot rules, or disagreed with them silently when told and am now arguing the stance.”

Btw, here’s something to consider.

Current situation with PL
Scenario 1:
Guy1 - Hey! Do you need /item/ ?
Me - Yeah sorry it’s an upgrade.
Guy1 - Aww ok, np.

Scenario 2:
Guy2 - Hey! Do you need /item/? It’s an big upgrade for me.
Me - Nah
//goes to trade. cannot because soulbound//
Me - Aww sorry cant trade
Guy2 - Shucks, allg ty

Proposed situation with PL
Scenario 1:
Guy1 - Hey! do you need /item/?
Me - Yes
Guy1 - GIVE ME THAT ITEM OR ILL [insert threat here]
Me - <leaves group/ignores them>

Scenario 2:
Guy2 - Hey! do you need /item/
Me - nah
Guy2 - may I have it? it’s an upgrade for me.
Me - sure

FIN.

I never saw a problem with master loot personally and really do miss it as a system but I do accept that some people had bad experiences. But I dont think a few bad eggs should ruin the chicken farm and ilvl restrictions on trading gear is just silly.
