Remove force personal loot in guild raids

You could just join a guild that uses Personal Loot for raids instead of Master Loot, in the past Personal Loot actually gave you one more piece per kill on average when compared to all other loot systems.

Masterloot should be offered as an option for the raids that want to use it, if you choose personal instead that’s absolutely fine

The Forced PL change is actually part of the reason I stopped raid leading for my guild.

This has always happened. Starting in MC. Even when ML was a loot option, players have always looked for greener grass.

Untradable personal loot is pretty bad, though.

I understand the idea behind being pressured to give it up for someone else in the raid, but if we’re rolling with PL, and it’s an upgrade, no decent guild is going to force you to give it away.

It just stops you from trading a useless item for you to someone who needs it.

It’s really hard to tell, his logs were good and he was a good player. He told us that he had friends in a few guilds and he would just fill when needed, which is why he wasn’t there for the full progression. I’m just saying that these people exist, and personal loot protects them.

I donno, I still wouldn’t take that guy at his word, just look at his raid history lul.

Understandable, no more power trip =(

Oh, for sure.

Most people against master looter probably joined a random pug who was blatantly loot hoarding in LFG, and typically have absolutely no experience with raiding at a high level, lol.

Guild loyalty is an important thing. Anyone that stayed less than 2 months in a guild without a good reason or changed guilds twice in a 6 month period is extremely suspicious.

Hell I wouldn’t stop being a gm/raidlead/officer just because the loot system changed. I stopped being all of those after cata because I got tired of holding hands.

In 2006, when the raid was the only place to get decent gear, maybe.

Now? When there are this many options? And it will all get replaced in a tier, there isn’t anything that valuable to quit the game over.

Big red flag, as you don’t fill for people by joining their guild.

Could have been easily verified upon contacting the previous guilds, which probably didn’t happen.

Here’s our progression during Mythic Antorus. The thing about Hunter tier was that Antorus was actually worse until we reached higher ilvls. After we killed Coven, we decided to no longer continue doing reclears since Aggy and Argus were extremely difficult fights. So if I had a powertrip, that would mean that I would’ve already had the gear necessary to make the swap over to that current tier right?

Would you like to point out where I am in terms of ilvl?

I agree, it was just more of a complaint with how the system works now.

High end raiding has always been more about the raid overall than any individual, so long as nobody is just a total failure.

Or does it belong to the guild as a whole?

No secret ballots needed. Make it require 100% guild. And have people just be upfront. “We use ML. If you don’t like it, leave.”

But hey, my father’s brother’s nephew’s cousin’s former roomate, read on reddit about this one bad experience that happened a decade ago during WOTLK. So ML is the debil.

Bm hunter in antorus spotted, throw him in the bin!

But yeah, generally officers of decent loot councils are actually the least geared ones.

Giving officers all the good loot first tends to raise red flags, even if they are the best person to give the loot.

It’s a precaution, usually - for groups with newer members.

A personal anecdote, if you will allow me:

During Legion, I saw a group listed in the group finder for Heroic Guldan that specifically said Personal Loot. Those were the groups I looked for back then. After a couple attempts, I remarked:

“Hey all of you are in the same guild? I just noticed that.”

We killed Guldan - and it was on Master Loot. I admit, I should have checked, but the group was listed as Personal Loot.

So, when I pointed out the discrepancy, the Raid Leader said: well lets roll and the highest roller will get it. And I won.

Here is the funny part: I sat in Discord hearing them debate if I should get it. For a couple minutes.

One second was too long.

They gave me the item, after much consternation. But there should not have been a moment of hesitation.

The removal of ML removes that issue.

It’s a product of different play styles and environments. Anti’s come from the PUG world, which is nothing but “ME ME ME.”Organized progression requires “we we we.” You can’t advance any other way.

Thanks to PL I dont have to give away my transmog to little billy if I dont want to.
