Sigh I miss when EMFH actually did something, now it’s basically a different button for a trinket that occasionally has PVE uses that blizz hasn’t nerfed yet.
generally more casual atmosphere of the alliance? yeah thats made up in your mind and is purely anecdotal.
So your tinfoil is better than my tinfoil? Gotcha.
feel free to provide evidence that the alliance side has a more casual atmosphere in comparison to the horde. ill wait.
If you want to play that game, prove that people switched for 0.05% damage or health increase. I’ll wait.
mythic kj ----> top end guilds switch horde for the goblin racial to make mythic kj easier. most of the mid to lower end raiders followed suit. garbage like this is why there is a massive imbalance between horde and alliance population.
thanks for playing this was a fun game.
really. so the whole 11-9 advantage to the horde with the mass majority of the best players being horde didn’t create a huge imbalance that caused war mode to be massively horde dominated so badly that most alliance just stopped using it, giving horde 4 months of war mode without any worries at all?
huh. i must have just imagined the first 4 months of the expansion.
free choices lead to most top players and top guilds going horde for better racials. which caused a feedback loop to the point where even to this day most guilds that intend to raid into heroic or mythic favor horde due to stronger player base and better recruiting.
couple this with a 11-9 advantage in numbers means that war mode meant that the alliance was always out numbered and more importantly, outskilled the majority of teh time. this lead to alliance players getting corpse camped and war mode being ineffective for them to get anything done at all.
but go ahead and blaim free choice for alliance players NOT WANTING TO GET CORPSE CAMPED For hours on end.
you want to know why alliance is more casual?
because for years all the best racials were horde.
this caused the best guilds to reroll/transfer horde for the advantage.
this caused anyone who wanted to raid seriously to reroll/transfer horde for the advantage, better options, etc.
this caused new raiding guilds to go horde because better recruiting options.
and EMFH has since been nerfed into the stone age.
but yes. lets blaim the alliance for being casual when it was blizzards own inaction that caused this.
https ://www.method.gg/board/content.php?172-Method-Faction-And-Realm-Change
and on top of this there is the fact that a whole 11 of the top 100 guilds are alliance. (for those that suck at math, that means 89 are horde, or roughly 8 out of every 9).
but lets pretend thats just due to them all choosing horde when they started without any bias at all.
Wow I must really had tied one on last night. I never going to hear the end of it from the guys at work. Husband going to make sure of it. How I got 3 and not 3o is beyond me.
I miss one thing also. What 370 gear exploited. Dd not they get removed and band. It not like with alliance got to keep the three through quest. I still say even. despite numbers being off.
Obsessed min/maxers like you ruin the game.
If I’m not mistaken, they just turned off the bonus gear or something quickly. I’m not sure, tbh.
In any case, by your (corrected) math approach if you ignore the 370 gear and the Horde’s 2940 AP, the 1890 AP the alliance got the last 3 weeks has got to be less than 16 ilvl points on the neck and thus less than 1 ilvl point overall. Not a game breaker by any stretch of the imagination imo.
Unless I’m missing something, and 1890 extra AP in 3 weeks raises dps by 15% or some ungodly amount like that?
IIRC the “30% buff” everyone is screaming over is actually just an 18% buff; ie 130% rewards vs 110% rewards; 130/110 = 1.181
Correct me if I’m wrong here
Or you can switch to alliance. Or maybe you don’t want to because you and your guild transferred to horde 3 months ago. My best advice is to get over it, if you can’t progress mythic because your necklace is 2 item levels behind another mythic guild then that’s a L2P issue
LOL, I know. I mean, look at the OP. Complaining about something so trivial and thinking it’s the end of the world.
The Horde could get 340 ilvl gear, we were already doing M+ by this point. Your comment doesn’t apply to hardcore raiders.
As funny as I find it that these forums are apparently flip flopping on who gets to complain about warmode, I do agree in general with the OP.
Warmode was something brought to the game as a more flexible alternative for PvP Servers, and as a result, PvP Servers no long exist.
Yet, Blizzard felt the need to attach rewards to using Warmode over playing as if one is on a Normal / PvE server for… some reason?
Why is that the case? Warmode is the replacement for PvP servers, so why do they need to pad participating numbers artificially? Those who enjoy PvP should be the ones activating Warmode of their own accord for the “content” it brings to the table, just as people actively chose to play on PvP servers when they could have easily chosen a PvE server.
My motivations are a bit different than OP in that I don’t really care about faction v faction, but I find that I now am rewarded less for the things I do than those who would have just played on a PvP server before, despite nothing changing for those players.
It’s not right.
Take away the gameplay advantages that come with Warmode. Even the base bonus was too much, now their solution for a faction imbalance is basically to try and bribe those who don’t enjoy it to turn it on anyway. It’s terrible.
Couldn’t be farther from the truth. Back in WoD Alliance dominated pretty much everything. All the crying Alliance is doing on the forum right now doesn’t hold a candle to the tears Horde shed back then.
Uh, what? WoD is literally the expansion that introduced Merc mode so Horde could queue for PvP on the Alliance side because Alliance had 1 minute queues and Horde had 15 minute queues due to much higher participation on Horde.
It’s also when I started noticing my realm shifting further away from the 51:49 max level split it used to be – in favor of the Horde.
You drunk?
