Yes, you are totally and completely wrong. Instant mail between characters on the same account was not available in vanilla. Instant mail came in patch 2.1.3. Google it.
Thanks for doing the work for me and winning the argument for me.
âRegardless of money or items attached.â
This proves that there was a distinction between money or items attached.
That patch you referenced made it where items between accounts were also instantaneous, presupposing that hitherto that patch mailing gold was instantaneous.
In fact, more I think about it, mailing gold was always instantaneous - even between players. It was the items that took 1 hour.
- Any mail sent from a character on a different account will now have a one hour delay regardless of money or items attached.
From the patch notes in BURNING CRUSADE.
Why would they need to ADD an hour delay to money between players if there was - as you and other people are asserting - already a delay?
That patch ADDED an hour long delay for money. Which wasnât present in classic.
Thank you.

Why would they need to ADD an hour delay to money between players if there was - as you and other people are asserting - already a delay? You are asserting that the delay was original but it isnât - it was added in TBC.
That burning crusade patch ADDED an hour long delay for money. Which wasnât present in classic.
Need to? Is someone compelling you to be at the raid âright nowâ and to be speced a certain way? If so, I would say itâs up to that individual to put up the gold for it. Otherwise, take you as the spec you are and deal. Alternately, if you agreed to an arrangement before-hand in which you would have to respec at a momentâs notice, then you Fâd up.
To weed out non-hackers like you
Yes, it is. All mail originally, even that sent to yourself or an alt, takes an hour and always did 'till it was changed.
Exception: Items you buy from AH are delivered instantly. BUT if you are the seller you have to wait an hour for your money.
You should probably check out that post about all the changes that had been madeâŚ
No. In Vanilla the only mail that was instant was items from the AH.
Didnt you know that changing the 1 hour mail delivery time would guarentee that LFD/LFR would be put into the game next⌠Well thats according to the meme nochanges movement anyway.
You are incorrect. All mail containing attachments, other than items from AH, was always 1 hour.
Oh, someone get out their little WoW book and find some documentation. I remember gold alone was instant but hey, I wouldnt stake my life on it.
This is good.
Insta-inter-account mail was added in patch 2.13, in 2007.
Prior to that, all mail except from AH or mail with no attachments, took an hour.
Well you show what kind of person you are with that comment.
Donât you have to wait 1 Hour, in Retail, when somebody buys your items in the AH? Did that change, recently?
Ok, let me just patch this real quick
Sure thing, in fact, how about we just give you the items you are raiding for so you donât have to waste your time in a raid? If only another game catered to someone of your caliberâŚ
A mage complaining about having to respec? What? You press one button
Donât overspend. Set a budget. Treat this like âreal life financesâ.
Sounds like a personal problem, maybe manage your gold better.
