Remove 1 hour mail delivery time right now

I am too. A lot more fun than I expected.

I am SICK AND TIRED of people like you simply responding ā€œno changesā€ to posts that are complaining about changes and inauthentic features from the real vanilla.

In real vanilla, mailing gold was instant; mailing items took 1 hr. Now, both take one hour. This is a CHANGE from vanilla.

I have news for you: Classic is not vanilla. Blizzard has changed a lot of things. And it is ironic when people say ā€œno changesā€ to Classic WoW regarding changes and deviations that classic made from real vanilla lol.

I DEMAND Azeroth Prime. For a nominal fee of $9.99 you can get instant mail delivery!

No, it is not.

Exactly! I wish I had included this in my post too. And yes itā€™s very frustrating to hear people parrot ā€œno changesā€ when Iā€™m not even certain they knew what the original was like in the first place. Instant gold mail being one of them. We used to only be able to mail one slot at a time, no one mentions that either.

It was instant gold between characters from same accounts If I recall correctly. AH and mailing items always took an hour.

Itā€™s my money and I need it now!

This thread made me chuckle. Thanks for the bait and as a result the interesting responses. Canā€™t tell if youā€™re serious or not, but you canā€™t beā€¦right?

It was intended to slow down abuses of people buying/trading gold and such. Not to mention being a RP thing about mail actually getting delivered by someone.

Honestly though, it does none of these things and is just annoying. However, the no changes crowd would pick up their pitchforks and torchesā€¦

Nope, totally wrong. Mail between characters on the same account was always one hour.

OP youā€™re doing it wrong. It should be:

The one hour wait time on mail IS A SLAP IN THE FACE to players.

It has been many years since I played Vanilla, but this was also my remembering.

Itā€™s my money and I want it now!

Pretty easy fix if being serious. Always leave enough gold on character for ā€œemergency respecā€. These are the same people that irl have car break down with 30 dollars in bank account and get mad at the mechanics because the cost of repair is too expensive.

I already did that!

Totally and completely wrong. Between your own account, mailing gold (and gold ONLY) was instantaneous.

However, if you included an item - like say you mailed yourself a gold and a health pot - it would take 1 hour.

Mailing gold to other players took one hour as well.

Also as mentioned above, you could only mail one item at a time. And there was no auto fill feature when you were typing somebodyā€™s name in. Lastly, there was no ā€œare you SURE you want to mail ________?ā€ And 3 second countdown timer.

The mail system is rife with changes. Funny how people donā€™t even talk about that but are against a feature that was in actual vanilla under the ostensible ā€œno changesā€ belief.

Exactly this - also, auctions were instant delivery for the seller until I believe 2.0.

They changed it to a delay because of gold sellers. So, in actual Vanilla, if you purchased an auction the gold came immediately. People jumping on the OP and #nochanges when really, heā€™s asking for the original features to be in.
