In the event entirely unjust suspensions are not over turned. The launch of wrath will be ruined for people such as myself because of blizzards automated holiday weekend mess up here. What is the process to refund a 6 month sub, and 80 dollar edition that was just purchased? Is there an official thing, or do we charge back through our credit card company since we wouldnt be returning to the game anyway at that point?

There isn’t one. It is sold and you’re stuck with it no matter your reasoning for wanting it cut off early. There is no prorating it.
And Ravenhawk got you for the expansion pre-sale.
That would be a big no. Blizzard will lock your account (entirely) until the charge back is paid off.
Bad advice. May be quicker, if you have a lot invested in your Battle Net account, would be unwise as Blizzard will lock it complete down til the charge back is paid off. Also Banks and Credit Unions don’t like this either.
Thank you.
he already said he wouldn’t be returning to the game

Refund policy: https://www.blizzard.com/en-us/legal/58e4a812-afd0-4d47-b34d-d4fdf99e41cb/blizzard-refund-policy
The refund system will automatically refund your request if you qualify. That means asking for a refund within the refund window, not having played more than 2 hours of a game, and not having used in-game content like a boost.
For Subscriptions you have up to 14 days to refund an unused subscription.
Subscriptions
We’ll refund any unused World of Warcraft subscription within 14 days of the purchase.
We won’t refund subscription time lost due to a suspension and/or permanent account closure. For permanent account closures and suspensions longer than 15 days, we will cancel upcoming recurring subscriptions.
Your account will be locked for a charge back for something you authorized and received. If you ever played again you would need to pay back the Chargeback.
You do know people are flighty beings and do frequently change their minds. But they are serious about not coming back, there is this option.
Well my credit card company says different. We’ll see what blizzards appeals say to my ticket before I try their refund process, and if they uphold it Ill just call chase , and have them refund my money to be done with it. You dont get it. If they ruin wrath launch over some wrongful automated ban after being a customer since 1993. I’m gone anyways, and wont need my 17 year old battlenet account anymore anyway.
If it is Dragonflight they can refund it and any used boost would be locked. If it is the Wrath bundle then that is a boost and a mount. Wrath is free to anyone with a Subscription.
But it was delivered though. They had access to the game.
If a player breaches the rules, and has account action against them (no matter how much they protest their innocence), that honestly is NOT grounds to issue a charge back.
No, it’s not theft by the company. it’s FRAUD, by the player.
Please, stop with the poor advice.
You’re assuming I’ve received said services yet. However you’re assuming incorrectly. Credit card companies and banks side on the side of consumers 100% of the time here. I’m not worried about getting refunded. So much as which avenue I have to do it post the appeal process. Assuming it goes poorly. Which based on it happening in the first place is a good chance. I’m hopeful once a blizzard cm goes through the appeal process with me it will be reversed as I know I did nothing wrong. It is very frustrating to have to even go through this process to begin with though. It has me seriously considering my future with blizzard games as a whole.
If you did not receive and use your sub, then you have up to 14 days from time of purchase to refund.
If you did not receive and have not used any of the Wrath pack (mount and boost), then you could refund.
Otherwise, you DID receive them and used them.
Perfect then I have 14 days to procure a refund. Which leaves me with about 8 left. Hope they dont drag their feet on this bunk appeal process. Thank you for your help.
You won’t have an appeal reply before 8 hours is up. Or I should say, ticket times are in the 5 day range. If the automated system denies a refund, you would use the need more help link in the reply to open a ticket for GM review. They would then decide if the purchases fit within the refund policy. Time on the refund is when you put in the ticket request, not when a GM gets to it.
Amen! I spent 100 bucks to play this and was playing religiously… I will most likely chargeback as well, if my suspension is not overturned because this will be the final straw with Blizz.
That’s called fraud.
Good luck with that.
In the case of Blizzard purchases, the OP approved it and the purchase was delivered. They got the game time and boost/mount pack.
Trolling here is not going to end well for you. Good luck OP, hope you get this sorted.
