I have nothing to prove to you but a quick overview is that you’ll have values in place that set the speed which an object is allowed to move on each axis, and adjust each axis (forward, back, up, left, right, etc) accordingly. Anything more you can look up.
sorry but im not gonna just take your word for it.
i highly doubt that blizzard has a step by step guide on google on how to edit dragon riding speeds via coding.
that’s quite interesting, why is it fine for mages to travel faster but then blizzard nerfs dragon riding speeds?
yes this would be faster travelling than dragon riding as well… do you think blizzard is working to nerf this form of travel as well?
Being a mage is the best portals whenever you want to wherever plus all the various rings and stuff that can zip you off somewhere. Moral of the story be a mage or always group with a mage.
do you think that mages having this power to create portals makes the world seem a little too small?
It sure can be, I can enjoy both ways when done right. Hard to go back to slower speeds when you have felt the faster ones, though!
Nope it’s a form of travel that’s all that matters.
it seems as though if dragon riding speed was reduced then mage portals should be viewed as being overpowered.
mage portals are, in reality, the fastest form of travel available in the game…i dont understand why dragon riding being too fast has the potential to make the world seem too small but mage portals, being even faster, were not nerfed.
Especially when its used as ‘content’ because its burning your game time.
That part annoys me to death.
And they nerfed it for literally no other reason than ‘this is how we think it should be’
it’s not design, it’s not technical, its nothing other than “BECAUSE” and nothing more.
yeah basically…
which makes me not happy about this statement… i wonder what they plan for flying in War Within and whether or not it will make flying less enjoyable.
Karazaa is a Dev.
They were explaining something irrelevant to what you’re talking about.
In TWW, there will be both static and dynamic flight, which is what we call Dragonriding and TBC/normal flying.
Reality has been disappointing lately. Yet when we complain about reality we get a shoulder shrug and, “oh well.”
Come to GD to complain about our non-reality and we get all the goodies. Math, physics, business law, morality & ethics, race equality and diversity. My goodness these cups overfloweth, but only by 85%.
This right here is why the entire argument is flawed.
Different dev teams do different things, you won’t be missing out on ‘dev time’ because the people working on Dragonriding or mounts aren’t out there working on quests, class or encounter design, or back-end network systems and the concept of, “Hey, old world zones are INCREDIBLY SMALL compared to Dragonflight zones, think they should be just a little bit slower? Sure? Okay, make the adjustment.” would take away that much time from the work flow.
I suggest you check your math again. Dragon isles is 66% the size of Kalimdor using measurements obtained from the in-game map marker while EK is 75% the size of Kalimdor.
I think it’s fine too. I’m also enjoying the dragon race courses.
“Early on”
Crap still happens lol
yeah that’s what i thought.
Only IF they remove the Boralis portal to IF. However my personal opinion is that they should add a Portal to SW in every capital.
anything that makes travel faster and more efficient would always be welcome.
I have this vision of a programmer chained to a desk being beaten with a switch “no food for you Igor until druids are balanced!!! Yes master”
poor Igor
