Reduced dragon riding speed in old world content

I’d prefer it were full speed, but at least it’s faster and I am less inclined to alt tab out of the game whenever I go somewhere.

I’m definitely going through an adjustment period at the moment. I’m used to just setting myself in the right direction and opening tabs along the way. With dragonriding I can’t really do that as much. More often than not, I usually crash into a mountain or hillside at least twice on my way to my destination.

its 930% in dragon isles and 790% out in the world. Top speed when using surge forward/whirling surge is also 15% lower at ~1205% instead of 1420%

So it’s even worse  790% is fine but 930% isn’t?? Now I could understand a more drastic number, say 540%… But 790% is too high to nerf it to.

Tbh I don’t even notice the difference that much, it’s still much faster than static flying.

I mean it’s still plenty fast. Honestly it’s like taking a drive and having a speed limit on the road.

That’s bs, I noticed the second I pressed surge. Maybe you guys don’t like dragon riding enough to get a feel for it but I love it so this was p disappointing. Still better than afk flying but it’s a feel bad knowing they nerfed it (especially since it’s just a cheap way to increase our playtime).

I’m just happy I can go 2x faster than a normal mount in the open world.

Yes I would agree here 100%

It’s still really fast and way faster than old flying. Enjoy the ride! Still plenty fun.

but its not as fast as the dragon isle dragon riding speeds.

it is still slower and kinda feels bad to dragon ride in the old world.

On one paw, I’d love warp speed flying so I can fly over my trivial continents faster.

On the other, Blizz at least finally ended their war on flying and embraced it in current content, and even sped it up in old zones.

I’ll take the W.

Its barely even noticeable and your still zooming through zones

thats not what a large majority of the player base would say when asked about their experiences dragon riding in the old world:

Not from what i have seen in this thread. Thr fact its way faster thrn normal flying is better then anything since your still going 700%ish flight speed compared to normals flying speed

it still feels quite bad to go so much slower than we can fly in dragon isles

Also since i just noticed this. Normal flying doesnt seem like its going to change outside you get it after you finish the main story for WTT day one

Though dynamic flying is right off the bat which i dont really get why they are doing it like that

hopefully we get dynamic flight that goes as fast as dragon isles riding and not another “slowed down version” in order to “create an authentic dragon riding experience”.

Tbh i think it will be like with DF sine thr zones are more then less going to be as large as DFs compared to the old worlds zones

Id would probs complain about the fightspeed if it was like the old worlds df speed cap in wtt if it was the case

Stormwind to Ironforge in 60 seconds… RIP Deeprun Tram.

I don’t see the problem.
