I don’t think that’s the case. It’s a big community, we can’t speak for everyone obviously. I know the OP is actually not a High elf fan, in the sense he doesn’t care for High elven aesthetics. He’s a big Void-theme fan. We’re in a very complicated situation right now as a High elf fanbase because, ppl got what they wanted in a sense, but because of the dual theme of the race, others now feel like they didn’t get what they want which causes even more forum friction. It’s a bit of a mess tbh because no exlusive void-themed stuff where added. Which I hope will be soon.
I don’t blame the people for this I blame the company - cause ppl are super hyped about getting more customization I know Trolls want their beards, Worgen want their tails, Zandalari and Pandaren want more stuff too, everyone wants stuff but Blizz focused on the Dracthyr for a good long while now and they’re ultimately going to be behind on customization again until everyone gets their wishes met.
Oh, thank you for mentioning the Dracthyr. I’m very upset that the visage form is another Elf-lite. I know it’s not “technically” an Elf, but it still is that same model. Not to mention their explanation of the two visage forms being a mix of all races at the time of their creation is a flat out insult to who the original races were at the time (assuming the Dragon Isles have been shrouded for 10,000 years and no one has been there since).
It basically feels like if you aren’t an Elf fan, this game won’t acknowledge your existence. The face of the Horde has been an Undead Elf for almost six years now and other Horde races are made a mockery of (Baine) or reduced to being a whiny man child (Thrall), Trolls have been a mess since Vol’jin was unceremoniously killed, and the only new content prior to the next expansion for the Horde is Elf related. Correction: Elf and Undead, though still with Elf influence given the customization reward that isn’t for Undead.
And the on the forums, it’s just more people wanting more for the Elves not even realizing how barren most other races have it. And then getting the support from both the community and Blizzard. The game may as well only let Elves be playable because that seems to be what both Blizzard and the community care about. It’s disheartening, it’s exhausting, and mostly just upsetting.
Well Horde doesn’t get absolutely everything, as said above they had requested Ogres for a while but no sign of that in the horizon yet.
As for the Alliance…? Well…who asked for Mechagnomes and chubby humans? I know I didn’t
Tbh both Kul’tirans and Mechagnomes should’ve simply been customization options for their parent races and the race slots used in a better way. Vrykuls would’ve provided cool representation and been unique enough to be their own thing. And what about Ethereals? those would’ve been sick
Yeeeaah I’m bitter about that too, Sylvanas this, Sylvanas that, while the orcs and trolls are barely shown in the cinematics! It’s mostly just Humans and elves! I’d really dig more cinematics with trolls and orcs being more involved, Baine is cool but we need some Orc wise words out there too, y’know? The Horde isn’t just edgelord villains, it’s also about Honor.
Well we have humans and orcs who have a lot of customization already, Draenei and LFD are in a good place, and HMT recently got some pretty cool stuff. But then there are others who are forgotten so far, like DID, Pandaren, Vulpera, and Zandalari. KTs are also in a sad state but they’re kinda a very niche option anyway

You got Mag’har orcs. It isn’t like this stuff doesn’t happen.
But if I’m Blizzard lately I’m not throwing stuff out there without it being requested.
They added Blood Elf jewelry, that fit the theme of Blood Elves and Blood Elf players flipped out about it.
The other thing is, you’re in the minority of the playerbase. Asking for less Elf stuff because everybody wants elf stuff is gonna fail.
Not just because a negative content request is always going to fail. You’re never gonna succeed with give X less stuff. But also just because most of the people paying money want that stuff.

Have in game Blood Elves been talking to you? Do the npcs whisper things only you can hear?
Pandaren need so much. Like let’s step away from customization, when was the last time Pandaren were involved…ever? I remember Ji being drunk in Zuldazar fighting pterodactyls and that was the last I’ve heard of him.
My point, and I’m grateful that you’re seeing it as well, is many races need more. HMT are fine right now, though there are still minor things I want (an actual eagle mount, for example, in the same vein as what the DID got recently with their flame pupper). But so many races need focus before the Elves get more. I want to see more things for all of them to build up their broken lore.
And this is why I have a lower opinion of Elf players in general. I don’t put them all into one boat, but this is the exact reason I’m pretty much anti-Elf. I even said above, I don’t care about population. It’s the excuse that keeps Hrothgar underdeveloped compared to the rest of FF14’s races. So long as you hold that opinion, I will hold the opinion that Elves don’t deserve anything more before other races.
Whether that does anything or not, it really does just show the shallow selfishness of the Elf players that honestly make me dislike many.
As for asking for what I want, I have. We all have. But we don’t have the population, so naturally the popular clique of self-centered players will out-volume the rest of the game.
The ideal solution is they make the Allied Race. it’s not very likely. But it’s ideal.
Second best is they make a race toggle.
Third is that they just change the name to an Alliance Elf coalition that contains multiple types of Elves. But, that’s gonna make customization messy.
It was a recolor of existing armor, probably took an intern a half hour or less to move the sliders around to make the UVs (textures). They couldn’t even get the gem colors right.
Blood Knights have an aesthetic that was previously only available in low resolution and locked behind a fairly high PVP rating.
Almost all paladin sets have an Alliance aesthetic. It’s very rare to have a Blood Knight aesthetic. So they threw us a bone. If you’re going to argue that it’s a heritage set, then I’m going to argue that there’s a ton of alliance themed heritage paladin sets, and more added constantly. I’d also argue that the night fae armor, all of it, are night elf heritage sets.
I feel like male Blood Elves in particular got a very lackluster pass.

Scars which actually make sense for zombie apocalypse survivors. We can’t look like Lor’themar.
Tattoos / warpaint for the Farstrider aesthetic that was featured in Warcraft 2.
No runic markings, we can not look like the BC box art.
The lackluster tacky jewelry that was given to Blood Elves was only given to ladies.
We have dark skin for ethnic diversity but no hairstyles to go with it.
This is why I’ve been asking for scars and tattoos.
Everyone should have had a pass that had the same love and care that the Night Elves and Humans enjoyed.
Id be chill with the customisation stuff if Blizzard gave us the treatment we deserve.
