Yea, Penance horde have called our banners to transfer to Wild Growth and have all gathered this morning to transfer. The server is dead and we are ready to go. The transfer announcement killed the server even more. Really weak to find out last minute that we’re stuck here.

PLEASE let us leave! I had made plans to raid with people on Crusader strike and now I can’t. You have listened to a very vocal minority, the majority of us who aren’t raid-logging are craving an actual MMO instead of a parsing sandbox.

You provided a catalyst for a lot of turmoil and quitting and now it is still “we will see.”

Unbelievable. Not only do you wait until literally the time to merge to tell OCE people, you’ve listened to a loud minority of people that don’t want the transfers. Those of us stuck on Penance are now stuck for longer on a dead unplayable realm, for Christ sake just use your brains and open up transfers from Penance to Wild Growth and let the Shadowstrike people fester in their own filth if they wish.

Lastly we have however held off on opening OCE to US transfers at this time as feedback was strongly mixed on this topic, trending more towards negative than positive.

Unfortunately we do not have any other technical solutions that are supported in Classic to allow more dynamic cross-region play between OCE and US so if and when this move comes it will be all or nothing.

On this particular topic we would welcome further discourse, there is no wrong or right answer so it’s very helpful to see a wider range of player thoughts.

The best solution I have seen proposed is to add Shadowstrike as a destination option for Free Character Moves.

This would allow our realm to grow.

The second best solution would be to allow Shadowstrike (and other players) players to transfer to Wildgrowth, a PvE server AND introduce some instance seeding so that we can raid effectively. Being in the open world with lag spikes/packet loss from west coast AU to central/east US is unplayable.

Other things you could consider:

• Introducing dungeon finder so that group content in dungeons can be managed cross server. The lag impact in a 5m non-competitive dungeon is bearable, in a way that it is not for raiding.
• Leaving the situation as-is, with the ability to create new characters on Shadowstrike.
• Moving forward with the changes for Penance and leaving Shadowstrike alone.

On that topic, I think it is really unfortunate that you didn’t consolidate Penance already, as the 100 odd players from that realm are all apparently really keen on posting on these forums and saying ‘OCE players want to move’. OCE players do NOT want to move. Only Penance players do. A small minority of Shadowstrike players have been gaslit into thinking they want to move. They think they do but they don’t…
