Realistic M+ Suggestions

hot take is just a another word for trolling at this point. its purposefully throwing out statements to cause drama. m+ isnt just going to be deleted.

Yeah, Dinars are so well received every end-expansion. I think they should bring them into every season at the .5 patch with just the current season’s items. They can keep bringing in the BiS of all time during the last season like they have been.

The most realistic suggestion is to… delete the overwhelmingly more popular game mode and change it back to a niche mode that was less fun, less played, and died by itself before being replaced?

No, it objectively is not. And this is not just a “hot take” or an “opposing opinion” you have. It was very clear and observable that challenge mode wouldn’t last.

How is a linear progression track such “massive aount of trouble” when challenge mode was about doing lower, otherwise completely useless dungeons to collect gear with the right stats, then take off your actually good gear, but on the bad gear that had the right stats, enchant all that, and exploit the challenge mode scaling system, not a massive amount of trouble as well?

Poke him some more and he will create a custom meme just for you!

How many CMG’s have you done? If any.

I know it is not going to be deleted… but it could be rolled back. It’s fine. If it were not for my opinion, this thread would be dead at 19 posts. You’re welcome OP.

no it wouldnt, that would be a major shift in the game dynamics and losing an entire play style to gear in. thats not going to happen because people would quit the game in droves. its like saying maybe we should take gear out of raiding and just make it cosmetic lmao.

I think raiding is a whole other issue that definitely needs its loot acquisition looked at. I am more likely to be ok with dinars in raiding because raiding is not spammable. You get one chance a week.

That just feels like an ALT themed change. Which wouldnt address things for most people. Most tend to use their first spark, for example, on a weapon. Meaning by the time they get another, they probably have their tier.

“Deleting m+” is not restoring m+.

making off topic posts that ruin the thread

Will someone make this person a Mod already. They obviously think they are one.

When the common spam centament is remove m+ you arent in a echo chamber. You got called out bud you keep trying to use buzzwords to defend yourself but you tried to troll and failed.

There we go some actual commentary was it that hard. M+ shouldnt be removed improved yes i would love s3 DF level of keys again those were awesome. But what you are doing in inflamitory speech is known as trolling. Because there is hot takes such as IO regression or timers being removed to bombastic unrealistic offtopic trolling such as delete m+.

How many challenge modes have you done? I assume a lot since they were so enjoyable to you?

Honestly I wouldn’t even wait for a .5 patch.

My idea would be to give players agency over their gear right from the start, which means allowing them to actually get gear and increase their performance without being 100% beholdened to the RNG gods.

I’d say have a vendor provide certain slots, ones that can’t be crafted, capping at say an ilvl just before Hero turns to Myth (because I know how people will whine if it could go to Myth track) that cost a considerable amount of dinars, with uniform stats, no special effects, and specifically designed to not be BiS. They are designed to give you raw stats to help bump up your numbers but still encourage you to actually try for the good stuff. Give it a weekly cap that can be easily reached if one clears a raid weekly or does their 8 dungeons or whatever the number of delves.

That way, even if you have poor luck, players will at the very least still feel like they are progressing their character week to week without the unnecessary frustration of weekly disappointment from the Vault, while also not invalidating the actual M+ and raid drops because the Dinar gear will objectively be worse.

(Yes, this is just badges with a new name.)

EDIT: I feel this would be the simplest course of action because at the end of the day, people want to feel like they are progressing, and if they feel like they aren’t they are more likely to just quit and leave.

I am not attempting to mod you.

I am merely showing that when you make an inflammatory off topic post, many will see it as trolling.

you can hit two birds with one stone using dinars.

just because something is spam able doesnt mean the loot will drop for you. loot protection is loot protection. it took me almost 40 runs on my main to get a heroic tier sacbrood. do you think thats ok? to me that seems insane.

The spammability (is that a word?) is seen as a large portion of the loot protection of m+.

Sure, the occasional drop can be elusive.

I dont know what the perfect answer is, but I imagine if they added that to m+ there would be other concessions somewhere to balance it.

I know currency is a hot topic around here. But i wouldnt mind a currency for each dungeon you slowly earn per track and earn a certain amount and buy said item. Example a +10 mist offers. Misty tokens which at 200 you can exchange for a unbound changling or something like that

I was hoping I would be called out asking if I had done them. :frowning:

having to spam a single dungeon over and over is part of the frustation of m+ as well as its boon. its a double edged sword. me personally gear is an ends to a means and not the other way around. gearing isnt the fun part of the journey its the end game of using that gear so having more options will always be a boon to me.

I get that.

I just think if they added a version of dinar to already the easiest end game pillar gearing in WoW, there would be something tweaked to balance it. Less loot per run, etc.

That’s why I suggested bringing back dinars more like badges.

Get dinars to fill out a slot you haven’t gotten to provide some control over your gearing.

The only real concern i have is from raiding. The easiest thing would just be to make it so you get a weekly cap and it’s designed to always be reachable by clearing the raid at any difficulty. But apparently Mythic raiding kills this because they apparently don’t kill bosses and just extend forever which means they wouldn’t get said dinars from the raid and would have to do M+ which they hate.

How many CMGs have you done Akston?
Sadly I only got them on my Resto Shaman, but I’m really fond of it. Was really young during MOP.

I wonder if our boy Dracarian has done them?
