Realistic M+ Suggestions

Add Charges to Keystones
Keys that never deplete would bring additional challenges to the pug community outside of the shortsighted personal gains. Never depleting would allow someone to get carried, intentionally or not, into a +10 and now they have a non-depletable +10 key for the rest of the season.

  • Give keys 2 or 3 charges/attempts before they deplete and downrank.
    • This would apply to all key levels without any prerequisite achievement.

Allow Keystones to work in two or three dungeons at random
Blizzard previously stated that they are strongly against allowing Keystones working universally because they don’t want players to farm the same dungeon with one key. By allowing Keystones to work for a random selection of 2 out of the 8 dungeons you are still introducing randomness, but will help all levels of players have greater levels of choice.

  • Randomly generate 2 or 3 dungeons the key will work on allowing all players greater accessibility to dungeons.
    • This will be especially beneficial to DPS players who have a harder time getting into pugs that want to farm Score.

Upgrade Gear Tracks with Crests [and/or Vault Tokens credit to Capslock]
Allow items to be upgraded to the next track with enchanted crests up to Hero Track and Myth with Vault Tokens.

  • Require the current track to be fully upgraded 8/8 before moving to the next.
    • This will prevent someone from being able to get a trinket from a +2 and upgrade multiple tracks.
  • Maybe even limited to just trinkets and weapons.

Revert the Change to AOE Stops
The change to stops not resetting CDs for casting units made a negative impact for pugs. Teams are still able to lock-down packs by using voice coms and being coordinated so the intended impact was not achieved. Instead it is only making it more difficult for the players who were already struggling.

  • Reintroduce CD resets for stunning, pulling, pushing, and blinding priority casts.
  • Provide a CD reduction to overlapped interrupts.
    • Potentially 25% CDr for interrupts with 12s CDs or less and 50% for longer CDs.

Dinars for Every Season
It’s clear that the player base loves the Dinar system every time it is introduced late into the expansion. This would provide players access to gear as a form of bad-luck prevention. This doesn’t mean to give every player the top tier BiS item.

  • Introduce a Dinar system every .5 patch as a catch up mechanic.
  • Limit to 1 or 2 items.

I still feel like the most realistic suggestion is to remove mythic plus as an endgame tier and turn it back into a challenge mode, returning dungeons to heroics and making it available to anyone without having to go through massive amounts of trouble. They can always make some cute gear that specific to that mode and colorize it to match.

That is not realistic.

Just because you don’t do it doesn’t mean it should be removed. Many enjoy it.

I’m not against increased key flexibility (multiple dungeon options and charges before a key depletes) but the reasons why this is not the case are valid for most players.

And I don’t think they should change but once you get to 12s where you want to do keys for the sake of the challenge and not for player power progression I don’t think the reasons to limit which keys a player can do are valid.

Stops in general are bad for the game. Syncing every mobs melee and casts up is not good for tanking (hello tank shortage). I’d rather see aoe stops greatly reduced or removed and improve the kick system.

When a mob casts give them a buff with an equal duration of the cast time. If your kick doesn’t interrupt a spell the kick is reset. Easy simple and consistent.

Lastly giving m+ players a better way to target and get more mythic track items is needed. We don’t want mythic track items to be infinity farming because mythic raiders would hate it. I don’t know what this would look like but mythic plus certainly lags behind mythic raiding gear progression.

There is always the troll or the person out of touch with reality whi says these things and you are the one saying these things.

One of the major hurdles to this is WoW’s pathological fear of homogenization.

You can’t make kicks or stops uniform between classes because then classes aren’t “unique”. But then they design encounters which overly punishes you if you aren’t able to meet certain bars of interrupts, and the end result is “which group of specs have the most interrupts”. And this is just one example.

I stopped doing M+ this season with the removal of M+2 to +10. This was the difficulty range I enjoyed. The squish was bad for me and many others.

I might got back to doing it if it were a challenge mode again. Now there’s too much emphasis on anything above +10, or +12, or whatever the next thread is yelling about.

Many do enjoy it. Many don’t. Many more could.

Typical. Opposing opinion = troll. More buzzwords.

Challenge mode isnt m+.

It never was.

It was only very loosely similar.

It also had no replayability.

To be fair.

You went into a thread. Posted something completely different to the topic, in a hot take way

Just remove the key , allow the leader to pick the lvl they want to do and go ham don’t really have to worry about bricking, depletion and all that crap

This I agree with. I loved M+ in Shadowlands and skipped most of DF. Then TWW sliced out the “growing levels” and a +2 (more like a +13) was obnoxious and I dropped it. I was not about to risk my sanity for some design choice.

So walking into a thread and having an opposing opinion that is apparently a “hot take” makes me a troll?

Its not a opposing opinion its just wrong and troll. Like the irony of you saying buzzword is funny as youre just using buzzword abd rehashed troll takes from people like asmongold

No.

Your response had nothing to do with fixing m+ or any of OPs suggestions.

So some will see it as trolling.

Hey, it’s just an opinion, but I sometimes forget that people have issues with “hot takes”.

Whatever you say bud.

It’s when someone goes into a thread and posts a “hot take” with nothing to do with the topic.

You didn’t reference fixing m+.

You didn’t reference any of OPs points.

It was just “delete m+”

no it isnt, taking away content that so many enjoy to use for gearing instead of raid or pvp is just asinine.

To be fair, it was opinion, but it was in stark contrast to the nature of the thread which was “realistic suggestions to the M+ issue”.

Removing M+ is not a realistic suggestion to fixing it.

And knowing that removing M+ is a hot button could only lead to the conclusion of “I just want to be that guy.”
