Realistic M+ Suggestions

And why can’t the realistic solution be to take it back to a challenge mode, which was fun?

overall a good post. this would go a long way to smooth the feathers over for alot of the m+ complaints.

Because then it isn’t mythic+ and thus not a realistic solution.

It’s challenge mode.

I remember when raiding was the ONLY gear in town, especially if you didn’t PvP.

Not sure how I feel about this. m+ is already spammable. Not sure gearing should be even easier. This will cause an influx of high geared people invading low keys for easier farming.

ok and? we are in a better place now game wise and having more variety is a good thing not a bad one.

I like all of those except reverting the AoE stops change.

The reason for that is because from a design perspective, and a logical perspective, the regular kick is what should be used to lock a mob’s casting ability (at least for that school), and that’s how it works on players as well. The arbitrary decision to make basic stuns and other stops also add an undescribed silence on top, and only apply this to NPCs, is just inconsistent.

However, the reason why people want this change reverted is because of another problem that needs to be fixed. Monsters need to stop permanently casting a barrage of annoyance at players. It’s not fun. Don’t revert the change to stops, and instead stop letting mobs cast all the time, after they get a fireball off, they go melee swing the tank the a bit before casting something else. That’s the change we need.

Yeah, this is definitely painful and is something most players don’t ever even think about or notice.

He’s not calling you a troll for having opposing views. He is calling you out for your unrealistic solution to remove M+ entirely.

Why is deleting m+ and using challenge modes fun? Lack of replayability.

Yes and nearly everyone considered that bad

Is Dracarian trolling again?

Yeah true, maybe if they made it for trinkets and weapons only?

I do remember this also.

Such an objectively worse design, holy crap.

Honestly m+ gearing is the last thing I’d look at.

I would want to see if other changes had an impact first.

M+ gearing is just already great with being spammable and then the vault.

Nope. Offering a “hot take” and apparently upsetting delicate sensibilities.

having dinars would be great for raiders as well. it would help greatly to fill in those one or two slots of bis for either rng or competition protection.

Hey man you got multiple people calling you a troll might be time to do some self reflection or stop while youre ahead. Troll

To get back on topic.

While I personally think they should tune things back more in line with DF S3, I think the easiest stop gap would be Dinars.

Speaking for my group of players, fell off in TWW S1 mainly because trying to get the right piece of gear they needed stopped being worth the effort. My cousin for example could never get a piece of Hero gear, as he had terrible luck in his guild heroic raid runs and the Great Vault only gave him the same cloak every week until he just quit.

Reintroducing a more player friendly and deterministic method of obtaining gear aside from the Vault rng would at least remove the “I have no control over my gear except increasing the RNG” feeling.

True, plus the current crafting system. I know you don’t want to focus on gear, but what about using the catalyst on crafted?

Or I am stuck with buzzwords in an echo chamber. God forbid someone raise any opinion AGAINST M+ that would restore it to a previous and enjoyable mode. Self reflection is not needed.
