Class halls with our own rooms would be doable and more interesting.
this is true player housing and i held my sub to that till the day they stopped taking money for it. even with very limited time spent in the game, the feature alone was worth it imo. but its very important for a game to be functional for a wide audience. bad technical issues can ruin the best of games.
A breakfast nook and maybe a hot tub
I would like to see guild housing. Each guildie gets one brick per hour of gameplay, so larger guilds could build bigger more impressive structures. Ideally it would have an area where prospective invitees could come in and see trophies of world-kills on the wall, maybe even watch small movies of the guild takedowns of bosses. Give reasons for people to come to our structure and perhaps join the guild.
Obviously it would cost per game month for upkeep as well but it would need to give players a reason to have it. Perhaps like rested bonus there could be a âdouble-rested bonusâ for logging off while in the housing or something.
For RPâers, the ability to add/create decorative RP objects would be a real boon. If you are a ancient vampire lord who escaped from Revendreth ages ago via a door of shadows and want to show mementos from home - you should be able to go on special quests to unlock them. Then you can invite other RPâers into your home to read custom written books on your adventures.
I dont care about player housing at all. Wouldnt matter to me if they never add it
in a expansion. But others would love it. So, it would be fine if they added it.
However, it should be on its own. not connected to character, or story progression
at all. It needs to be its own side project with no connection to any other
part of the game beyond possibly a profession.
They could add furniture recipes to engineering, and recipes for different size rugs
to tailoring.
I want an NPC living inside that I either have to:
A.) Murder
or
B.) Keep Alive while I steal everything around her without her noticing and replacing it with my own stuff.
Basically that corner house in Balmora that everyone knows they occupied and turned into their own house.
Yup I had my sub the same way. I was on entity till the very end, well when they all forced us to move to the 4 mega servers.
I think the only shopkeepers I would put are oneâs that sell plain and cheap furniture for chump change.
none of it, ever
go build a garrison
they put proper housing in and all the crap that would get sold in a cash store for it and Iâm out, done.
Xcuse me whoâs calling me a nerd- twitâŚThe Talent tree was awesome and it has been shown in BFA there can be an NPC that can be paid for talent switchingâŚ
Plus Iâd like to see RBG open to all- having passed a certain Ilv
I like a lot of these ideas.
Iâd want my house style to be Belf of course in Silvermoon. Warrior guard also Belf. Iâd also want guards that arenât considered any major class or race etc. Iâd want Meatball. https://www.wowhead.com/champion=986/meatball
I also want my dog to be in my house. https://www.wowhead.com/npc=59536/dog
I want Gamon as my acquaintance.
Also I hope Meatball gets a graphics upgrade along with Dog. Meatball similar to Hoggerâs upgrade in HotS https://i.imgur.com/DXiLQxr.jpg
and Dog to match the newer dog models (maybe we can even pick the breed of dog?) https://i.imgur.com/JZueTKC.jpg
Garrisons are trash player housing.
Putting in PH and trying to shove the content for it all behind a cash wall DESERVES to have Blizzard get your unsub. Thatâs AWFUL game design, as those content elements should be put into the game and scattered around as various drops, matâs, items, crafted things, patterns, etc.
Panda farm with a few extrasâŚno AH though. Just a mailbox and a house with some storageâŚmaybe a bank and Guild bank access.
This is the only acceptable level of housing. Anything less than this is lacking. Other games may have some cute niche features but Wildstar is still the best.
Anyone remember housing in Star Wars Galaxies? Groups of people built towns on the planets. Granted, they were mostly generic building, but it added so much to the game. It felt like a living world. I miss that game a lot.
Depends on the character. Housing should, if anything, have class flavor.
For instance, on this character, Iâd like to see a cabin, and inside youâd find various bear skin rugs, some head mounts, maybe a way to hang and display those artifact weapons and other items weâve earned, which frankly should be the case in any of the housing. You get the idea.
My druid would like to see something along the lines of the inside of a tree. Vines and other vegetation growing on the walls. And yes, places to display armor, special weapons and the like.
My rogue. My rogueâs house would be neat and orderly. Very unassuming. Until you pull down on a certain candle stick, which causes a bookshelf to move, revealing access to a stone stairway, leading down into a dungeon like room full of various chips, dips, chains and whips. Blades galore and a treasure stash/
Iâm all for adding this to the game as well!
Race, Class, Spec, all of these and even Professions should be reflected in a Player Housing design scheme.
The issue is that Blizzard said, âGarrisons cost us a raid tier.â
I wonder how many Raid tiers real player housing would cost if the current loss in work productivity is any indicator.
No joke, SWG is to date the best MMO ever made. Real shame what they did to it.
If only Blizzard were willing to take notes from other MMORPGâs, make their own version, and then attempt to iterate these ideas into fun in game experiences and content.
Wildstar based and yet improved player housing, toss in a big spread of FFXIV style mats, items, patterns, etc., for the insides, and give players the chance to place bases and buildings throughout the world.
Quests that arenât just in game Disneyland adventures on rails.
Actually balanced Race / Class / Spec combos, all across the board.
Gear that is properly stated out and scales well, unlike now.
Iâd type that anything in another MMORPG is fair game to start off of, just Blizzard would need to make its own version before pushing said content live.
And that this has all been entirely missed since 2004 is sad.
I would love the option to paint the house different colors. With fun little pink roof! Etc
I would also love a guild hall or like a barracks for the people in my guild to log off in. I would probably be happy with a guild one, no need for my individual one. As long as members can put stuff in and decorate their little sections!
