Re: Flask Abuse Bans

Blizzard shouldn’t take enforcement action against anyone who does something that’s possible to do in the game. Anything you could possibly do in game, is something that’s possible to do in game. Ergo, Blizzard shouldn’t take enforcement action against anyone for anything, ever.

This is logic.

Very very flawed logic. By that logic, rules don’t matter, heck I think I’ll take a 120MPH ride down the nearest highway and use this logic to defend myself, after all, my car will do 120MPH. Who cares about those pesky speed limit signs

Now you’re getting it.

Being able to go over the speed limit is a bug introduced by the car manufacturer, and to a lesser extent to the government that created a road capable of such speeds.

Why should people be punished for the car manufacturer’s bugs and the state’s overengineered roads.

Don’t even get me started on the fact that the freeways have never had a real PTR.

I would soooooo give that a good testing…

I have to admit I’m finding this whole situation pretty amusing. I mean what were people thinking  This is one of the most entertaining days on the forums in a while.

Normal mode on retail has no check at all. It’s targetdummies.

Or you could buy it and get a 3 day suspension… Almost like it’s ok to cheat as long as it isn’t because blizzard missed something.

If you leave it unlocked, you shouldn’t be surprised if you find it in a different condition. Especially if you live in cali.

Normal isn’t as tight, but it’s definitely there. We had some dead weight in our guild and hit enrage on fatescribe and sylvanas in the first week.

And you can definitely wipe to normal mode mechanics.

so true lol

Oh, please.

This isn’t a mystery. WE know based on past events that you get banned for this kind of stuff. Trying to pretend ignorance is complete bs. You took advantage of mechanics that weren’t intended and you know better.

You’ abused an exploit in the game. Own up to it. Take responsibility for it. If nobody in your guild was telling people not to do it, then you have a lot of dummies in your guild.

I immediately told people in my guild not to do it or they’d get banned.

Flask Abuse Bans

Please consider that these aren’t the only bans handed out on the start of Phase 2 raid content.

Some very active users on the Kirtonos discord take time every day to combat the botting problem and noticed that a whole heap of their bot reports were recently confirmed via in-game mail.

As someone who has been banned for the remainder of an entire expansion due to botting, claiming that you were banned for literally anything else is the first thing you say to the group of 40 friends you’ve been hanging out with every week for months, instead of admitting you’re a filthy cheater and have let them down because you can’t play the game properly.

Because people only do what they’re told. Punish creative minds!!!

Went to ogrilla the moment patch dropped. Saw this was broken and didn’t exploit it because i’m not an idiot. Told people who were that Blizzard has historically been harsh and swift with bans that affect the economy. They told me I was an idiot.

People now coming onto the forums and saying they don’t deserve this are full of it. They absolutely knew they were doing something wrong.

Botting isn’t creative… if anything it’s the exact opposite.

Rage against the machine. Bring down this system of society. Use your creative mind and bot an MMO!

I wonder how many more times morons need to be banned for abusing an obviously bannable mechanic before they realize they shouldn’t do it.

Your guildies deserve the ban.

Did people really think that it was okay to grab an item for free in unlimited quantities and then vendor it for gold?

Like… how? How does the possibility of that being completely exploitative behavior not cross the mind first?

These bans are deserved.
