Whatever their motivation is for running content that they clearly outgear, you can reasonably assume that gearing your character isn’t one of them.
Maybe they want mog.
Maybe they want gold.
Maybe they want off spec gear.
Whatever the reason is, it’s irrelevant. They participated in the kill, they’re entitled to the loot. Full stop.
The game can only take ilvl into account, which for the most part is meaningless for jewelry and trinkets. Sims are a third-party community tool, and so cannot be taken into account when determining who can roll need.
Not so. We’ve had discussions that you’ve been a part of that alternative options were presented that were not PL.
its not so bad when its people swapping to tank / heal and still rolling for dps gear cos they gotta roll against a huge number but the reverse is aids, like if you wanna roll main spec on tank / heal stuff then queue for that.
just hinders tanks / healers because they want it in their bag for Off spec they will hardly use and people wonder why no one wants to tank / heal while gearing up

So…in order to gear up another spec, im expected to start a whole new character and never leave that spec or else not get gear for said spec im wanting to play?
We could, but I’m pretty happy with the current model, so I can’t say that I’d like any changes really.
My mog is just as important as your little upgrade. I need it just like you need it. That is not “griefing” you. lol
And that’s completely fair. I’m sure you know my thoughts, but I think there are… more optimal ways to distribute loot. Of course, opinions are like [word I can’t say here] – everyone has one and they usually stink.
Normal and above I’m fine with group loot. LFR should use personal loot though. All queued content should.
That’d be ideal for the geared folks farming mogs!
Yep…normal and heroic (queued) dungeons use personal loot. It’d be much better if LFR also used it. Keep the group loot for non-queued content.
5 mans using PL is different, since you couldn’t reasonably have enough diversity to support GL.
LFR using GL makes sure all the LFR heroes have a better chance for the stuff they need to use.
The advantages of PL in LFR:
People who can’t mentally cope with others winning loot can pretend everyone else didn’t join the raid with the intention of getting loot.
People who only want to farm mog/shards/vendor gold have the best chances to get what they want.
or you do M+ dungs which is personal loot and gear up of your OS enough to then do said other spec in raid and then get priority
if you are running a raid with a guild / same group all the time this option wouldnt matter if you cant swap loot specs cos then you can just trade said gear to people if MS people have it
The players who voted to kick are the problem. That’s bullying. If you’re able to need roll, no other player has any say in the matter.
Or, it doesn’t matter because you weren’t going to win the roll regardless so whats it matter if you lost to someone on a different loot spec, another healer, or someone over geared and not needing said items?

All this is, is a result of your feelings being hurt because you lost a roll. Doesnt matter to who or why, you lost and now you need to justify those feelings, and it cant be your own fault so you have to blame it on someone else.
No, they just let their winnings stay on the body (so no looting message was generated) and then pick it up form their mail after they are done. See anything you won and didn’t loot in the PL system would just be mailed to you later. This allowed them to avoid the entire situation and no one was all the wiser about it.
The amount of trying to control other’s playtime is crazy. Roll your roll and live with the result whatever it is, or only run with people who agree to your specific group rules.
I couldnt care less if ive lost a roll as my main is running in a guild group and my alts just slowly gear im just putting out there the system is stupid overall and arguing for all those that suffer because of this
its like picturing a scenario of being on the titanic while its sinking and woman and children going first for lifeboats but then saying you identify as a female so you can also go on the life boat, makes perfect sense right?
