RDF (LFG Tool)

You cant reason with these morons. They think they know what you want better than you do. Listen to their excuses for everything. They say stuff like , “the players we talk to say this” they said lfd is not what fits into classic. They are not smart enough to realize that not changing it is what makes it classic. The players that came back to classic remebered the game as being more difficult. They were wrong. It was the playerbases inexoerience that made the game seem harder. When the classic players realized this they asked blizz to adjust the content to make it harder to replicate the feeling of being more difficult. Ignored. But then they added spell batching and fake lag to opening mail for that " classic feel" they seriously are out of touch. Can we at least get pre nerfed content? Blizz responds with comments like they dont want to forget about the players that just want to hang out and have a beer night with friends. So the classic base is what they are listenimg to. Umtil its a change they dont want to make them its the casual drinks with a buddy crowd. Then its these invisible players they talked to or heard from. None of it stuff that the majority of us discuss day after day. They are just being arrogant jerks. Stick around as long as you can i guess but ita only going to get worse.

Literally your interpretation.

Logical interpretation, maybe? But that still makes it an opinion based on the information that you have.

You would need a proctologist to find any basis for any of his claims.

You’re high if you think Classic TBC has a community. It doesn’t, and there’s no LFD in sight. Randomly blaming the decline of WoW on LFD is ignorant. People and players have changed. Less boomers and more zoomers. People are just less social, more selfish, and in a rush. Whether you like it or not, more people want LFD than people who don’t want it.

You know boomers are in their 70s right? The majority of us older players are Gen Xers…the forgotten generation.

People now with more responsibilities and less time than we were younger. Hence…dungeon finder is good for us too. It’s good for everyone…except bots, boosters and the gdkp businesses.

Gen Xers are the new boomers.

You really seem like a millennial unwilling to admit that you’re actually not the relevant “younger generation” any more.

Exactly right. There is no other reasonable explanation for being against a feature that doesn’t even have to be used. You only want to do dungeons with your guild? No problem! LFD doesn’t prevent this. Invite to group, queue up, and enjoy playing with, and only with your friends.

The 50 something loudmouth trolls as twitter followers on these dev accounts that apparently represent us a community… I wish I was kidding about that.

50? It’s more like 5 or 6…and their alts.

Hope the $75-$90 in monthly revenue they bring Blizzard will be enough to sustain this portion of the company, because if they keep treading down this road, those 5-6 players will be all that’s left.

I want the retail LFG – the one used for m+.

I have a feeling that’s what we will be getting, but without the cross realm functionality. That’s fine for the mega servers, but it doesn’t help the low population ones.

On one hand the current retail LFG is better than what’s in the game now. On the other if they add that over the RDF which was actually in wrath, I see that as a problem.

Because we don’t want to play those other games. We want to play Wrath, exactly as it was.
So yes, that’ll mean ~half of the xpac will be without it, but the other part of it we would like to have RDF.

There’s nothing wrong with people wanting it to be like it originally was.
Why don’t YOU go play the games that don’t have RDF if you hate it so much.

They will end up wasting time working on this new tool and probably no one will use it again. Why not just give us lfd as it was in wrath?

Agreed. Now, if they gave us the Retail LFG at WotLK launch and LFD at ICC release, I think most players would be fine with that.

Thats almost certainly what people will get and it should be fine for people to get dungeons and heroics done.

There will be gating of groups based on gear (but this was always going to happen)

There will be groups with HRs on items, although these will likely be less popular to join (as most people will likely run MS>OS no reserves for dungeons).

It will likely also extend to raids which should improve the pug raiding scene.
