Ahh I see your problem. You’re making a gross generalization based on your own opinion. You are not “the community” and your opinion is not “truth” or “objective fact”.
No no, you’re the one claiming that the only difference between WoW versions and indeed other games is LFD.
Perhaps you didn’t express yourself properly, but that’s on you.
Maybe. I don’t think it will have any impact. Nobody faces any consequences in classic right now anyway. Scam a GDKP? Doesn’t matter, there will be enough fools desperate to give away their gold next week.
While I believe that’s true on the “megaservers”, those servers are basically a dozen realms rolled in together anyway, so it’s the same problem without server separation. On more reasonable servers, reputation still matters.
/shrug I played on a healthy realm back in vanilla and reputation for 5/10 mans didn’t mean jack.
Please don’t take this to mean I disagree with you on this - but honestly, how many of those are there? Which ones would you say?
You could also just play another character, account names weren’t a thing and it was character by character basis.
This word does not mean what you think it means.
Never claimed to be.
Never stated my opinion, I’ve only given you the facts. You many not like them but that doesn’t make them any less factual.
Never claimed it, which is why you can’t quote me saying it.
I expressed myself perfectly fine, it’s a reading comprehension issue which would be on you, that’s why you are incapable of quoting where I made the claim you think I made.
We call that the logical fallacy of strawman. I’ve seen you do it in other threads, such as the AV and Dual Spec in TBC threads.
I doubt there’s any. I switched to a low pop realm and reputation still means nothing.
But also keep in mind that by removing dungeon finder Blizz is going to cause a LOT of players to transfer to the mega servers. So mega servers will be even more populated and reputation matters even less.
I remember my first taste of the beloved community experience. It was before TBC came out, me and 2 friends were leveling up and oh look, we can do the ragefire chasm dungeon! I’ll just start asking in chat to see if we can get a group together for it, no big deal. It took around an hour. We sat there for an hour, and we didn’t even get the group together. Eventually a max level pitied us and whispered me saying they’ll just carry us.
That was our first dungeon experience with the game. Sitting in Orgrimmar for an hour, and when we finally get to do the dungeon, everything just gets 1 shot anyways ruining the experience. Fun.
And when you have a max level character you’d have been doing that for your friends when they make alts, I sure did. And the cycle repeats.
I swear the people defending the removal of RDF really didn’t play this game. Even without GDKP and paid carries if you can’t incentivize people to do things, they just won’t.
The social aspect barely existed. And if classic had truly been #NOCHANGES classic we’d be having a truly different conversation.
That’s the point. Blizz WANTS everyone to transfer to the half dozen mega servers so they can shut the rest down. They never wanted this many Classic servers in the first place.
You literally stated your own opinion as a “fact”.
This is not a “fact”. It’s your interpretation of what thousands of people desired. Opinion.
Again literally your interpretation of what thousands of people desired.
Until you can realize your own hypocrisy, your arguments hold no weight.
I fought for Classic on the forums for years and absolutely support LFD.
The community as it was, was only so good due to the time. The community today isn’t worth trying to save.
Maybe, but if I’m being honest we never made it to max level. The game is fun, but that dungeon experience happened one too many times and we ended up getting burnt out around lvl 40. We did get to actually do wailing caverns and some scarlet dungeon though. Was fun.
When we heard about Wrath coming out we were excited because of the dungeon finder, and then… well no dungeon finder. Still gonna try to level up though.
Has Blizzard ever shut down a server? There’s hundreds of retail dead servers with nearly no-one on them too.
Yeah I agree, there’s plenty of dead realms that just run in perpetuity since RDF and LFR became a thing.
Almost like that solved a widespread systemic issue this game once faced…hmmmmm
It’s not interpretation, it’s a logical conclusion, which in NOT an opinion. It is factual and based on logic.
Again, literally NOT an interpretation, it’s a logical conclusion.
I don’t think you fully understand what an opinion is.
Sure you did, any citations?
You guys remember when the walking joke known as Bloomsday said “transmog ruined the game.” Lol the boy has dedication to put in 8 hours of braindead takes a day on the forums.
Where’s your citations on virtually every claim you’ve ever made?
