RDF (LFG Tool)

I want LFD because it filters out the degenerates.

Except it doesnā€™t ā€“ and we have 10 years of data to show that.

Retail dungeon finder is barely used by players to gear up and become somewhat familiar with dungeons before moving on to mythic+ progression.

Mythic+ is used to supplement raid gear/fill in the gaps left by bad personal loot luck.

Nobody spams heroic dungeons on retail the way we did back in Wrath, there are too many other systems that are required to gear up for raid content that LFD has become an inefficient use of time very shortly after reaching level cap.

Part of it is, Iā€™m not sure it really can be fixed. They let people transfer and consolidate onto these huge megaservers - which we spent money on. If they force me to transfer off of Whitemane and back to Blammo (where there were literally 14 players on the entire server at 10am the last time I popped in to check) Iā€™ll demand a refund before I quit.

Some of the more vocal members of the classic community have spoken out against CRZ so loudly and so often while simultaneously getting that confused with connected realms that I think Blizzard might be a little gunshy when it comes to connecting/consolidating the lower population servers.

The other part is that Iā€™ve carved out a niche on my crazy-big server and can see myself playing all the way through Wrath (as long as it doesnā€™t get worse and Blizzardā€™s communication improves a little bit).

Wrong. Iā€™ve never experienced this nonsense on Retail, and Iā€™ve played since 2009.

If we all ignore Bloom heā€™ll eventually move to another forum and bother those nice people instead.

Yeah, thatā€™s what I did. Havenā€™t seen any reason to regret it.

Your anecdotal experiences does not represent the majority of experiences.

Friendly reminder that engaging with low level trolling characters is what keeps them wasting their days away posting here. Call our their lies and then ignore their responses.

People lack the self-restraint, which is why heā€™s one of the most successful trolls Iā€™ve ever seen. They just canā€™t resist being baited.

I donā€™t think it encourages degenerate gameplay.

Well thatā€™s nice ā€“ but we have 10 years of data so we donā€™t really need to think about what would happen. We know.

No we dont

Your right we donā€™t, we do have personal experiences though.

And blizzard has the data. And they chose no rdf. I wonder whyā€¦

What do you think Blizzard based the decision to remove LFD off of?

Well we donā€™t really know why. There could be any number of reasons why blizzard have taken the stance they have. Iā€™ve seen it suggested they want to encourage boosts, and that seems just as likely then them doing what the players want.

You are now embroiled in an unwinnable conversation with multiple trolls.

:ring_buoy: Hereā€™s a life preserver. Take the help and run.

I donā€™t know exactly, neither does anyone. You seem to be implying that blizzard must be doing what they know is what their players want since that would be responsible business, but anyone who has followed blizzard for a while know they donā€™t always do this, and quite often they do the opposite.

That sounds about right. +1.

Have you tried using logical thinking instead of emotions?

Iā€™m not implying anything. Blizzard uses internal data to make decisions. This isnā€™t a secret, this isnā€™t a conspiracy, this is what every company out there does. Every last one of them.

The only thing that can save SCal is competent leaders. Sadly there are none to be found down there.
