RBG Ladder Deflated atm

Bros I just want a solo queue for RBG. I prefer objective based modes and have a general loathing for Arena. I dont have time to waste trying to form groups OR to sit I queue for Solo Shuffle.

Ive resorted to badly healing in solo shuffle because I can fail upwards as a healer. Meaning can cap conquest and vault in like 2 hours. Everybody on my teams suffer for this and somehow this is the most effecient way to get my gear. Its awful.

Just form a yolo. First come first serve. That’s what a solo rbg queue would be like. By first come first serve I mean including tank and healers. I wouldn’t recommend 10 dps even for a yolo.

Wouldn’t you be more likely to also face an opposing team that was “poorly” formed if everyone was placed into groups more or less randomly though, as opposed to yolo vs potential preform today?

Possibly. There’s quite a lot of yolo groups in the group finder now you have pretty good odds of facing similar at low ratings.

I’m talking about classes/specs.

Grab a tank and 2 heals, then grab 7 random DPS is still a team composition. It doesn’t always need to be this hyper-specific format that you need to follow. Sometimes it can be very lax. There exists a formula for winning. Can you win outside the formula? Absolutely. Does this mean that you should always go against the formula? No.

I agree and they used to be % based and still are for R1 and HOTH/A. I made a post on the arena forums a few weeks back talking about a possible approach they could pursue.

I think blizz keeps inflation because it allows players to reach goals even if they don’t meet the skill level required to push high. Maybe they could keep cosmetics the same way, easier to get as the season progresses, but use % for titles.

They are thinking about DPS only. Most run with three heals and six DPS.

DPS comp doesn’t matter as much if you seriously out match your opponents.

It matters more on base sitting maps (AB and DWG, BFG less so) than the other maps, although having a good rogue or two on your team for any map makes things a lot easier since rogues are the best class for exposing weaknesses in the enemy comp.

Having no front line or lacking in front line can also put you at a disadvantage on some maps. A good balance of melee and ranged helps when not outmatching your opponent to the point where your comp doesn’t matter.

This is all common sense stuff.

Exactly. I’m not arguing you shouldn’t run a tank. When I say comp doesn’t matter till the high ratings, I mean stacking specific specs for dps/heals/tank. If you all are talking something different, then I misinterpreted.

Also should add none of this matters in the end because you don’t need rating to upgrade gear. You can lose all BGs and still fill up your vault, may just take longer but you also have an entire week. If you do win, just a few wins will fill up the vault. Unless you are pushing rating, in which case you probably want to find a team, none of it really matters. Could be the reason why there are so many yolos going this season and last.

There’s your problem.

When I am talking comps, I’m not talking about specific classes. I’m talking about classes suited for certain jobs and tasks. An evoker should be in the team fight, not sitting farm in AB (as an example). But, in LFGs you often have to do stupid things like that.

We had no classes suited for sitting a base. It doesn’t have to be the optimal class, but it should be something that doesn’t force one of your best team fight DPS to sit a base.

You are at a disadvantage on a base map if you don’t have good base-sitting classes. Some classes are not built for that at all. You are also at a disadvantage if you don’t have some melee for a front line.

Winning matters a little bit more when you have thirteen level 70s, but I’m not stressing about unlocking the vault. RSS queue times are too long for me to care about and doing YOLO/LFG groups is too annoying to do more than a couple of nights a week. In the end, I’ll eventually be fully geared.

And, the cool thing about DF is that you don’t need rated gear to fight rated players in the random BGs.

There’s many definitions and I think we’re all on different pages tbh.

On my page 12 of RBG for Dummies. What page are you guys on?

Yes, because I definitely wasn’t talking about micromanaging a comp down to specific specs with specific talent loadouts. I was just talking about having classes that can fill an important job or task.

Anyway lots of things can work in yolos as half the time you’re going against another yolo as well. As long as you’re 1-3-6. Higher ratings is where you really need to get specific with roles and certain specs.

It’s actually crazy how desperately you grasp a straws.
A defense mechanism no doubt birthed from not comprehending or just fear of being wrong in front of others.

I guarantee you, Team Composition is going to have 0 bearing on things describe like this

The greatest disadvantage is going to be with players who have no idea what’s going on.
This is 99% of the players, and I’m being literal.

This is going to outweigh any ‘Z tier perfect’ composition you have.
The solutions to your issues are player improvement and progression, not comp.

You two have the highest level of copium usage I’ve experienced in this forum since WoD.

Burn the book.

You’re unhelpable.

This has got to be the most hilarious WoW pvp moment ever.

You can be 1800cr being top 100 and you can win AV with 3 bunkers still up. Dudes still say it’s not a minigame.
