Rating the "leaked" potential classes based on likelihood

You say this, and yet also this:

When necromancers would just be affliction locks with skeleton pets.

I play a protection tank as a main, which class am i? Warrior or paladin.

I also play a holy spec healer, am i a priest or pally?

Oh i also have a restoration healer. Think its a shaman or a druid?

Having specs share names across classes isnt unheard of. Sarcasm aside i agree that one sounds more like a spec than an entire class.

Honestly, i think all the leaked classes are red herrings. As much as id like tinker as a class, i feel like their going to pull something out of nowhere kind of like evoker.

I believe that’s what the MM change was for; Placing Hunter squarely in the “nature” thematic and opening up design space for more industrial, demolition, explosive style of physical ranged.

But draenei and blood elves, and orcs, and dwarves… and…

Battlemage with Spellbreaker as a tank spec makes the most sense of those for Midnight. Elf themes all around. Defense of Quel’thalas is perfect reason for elves to teach every race how to do those things too, just like they taught humans how to be mages for help in the Troll Wars.

The Tinker people refuse to acknowledge the technological superiority of the draenei.

Orcs and Dwarves, sure. Draenei and Elves are too magical.

They both have engineers/artificers watchu talking about?

I largely agree with this.

Tinker is a good class to implement because currently we cannot play as Mekkatorque or Gazlowe which is strange. I like the suggestion to have apothecary as a healing spec for tinkers.

Spellbreaker could be a third spec for Demon Hunters.

Are all HUGE races and would not work in a mech suit. A gnome in a mechsuit looks like a Shredder. A Tauren in a Mechsuit looks like something from Godzilla and would not fit through a door

That’s an interesting pov. You might be on to something.

tinker, spellbreaker, witch doctor or spirit walker for new class based off wc3 units and heroes, everything else wouldnt make sense or be warcraft at all

tinkers plate tank/dps
spellbreaker ranged dps/magic focused tank
witch doc cloth healer/supp/dps
spirit walker tank/supp/healer

anything else would be a disappointment IMO

These are just Ascension classes that were “data mined” to push the agenda of class expansion (content bloat) here.

Until someone shows video evidence of their being leaked and not just hearsay across a couple different forum posts - more than half of these are currently playable classes on Ascension.

Most, if not all, of these sound more like new Specs or Hero Specs to me. I think the only ones that could be fleshed out into a full Class with multiple specs are Tinker, Necromancer, and Battlemage.

These are such lame concepts. This post is proof that the game doesn’t need another class, they ran out of actual interesting full-on class ideas a while ago.

These all sounds like additional specializations to existing classes far more than being able to stand as their own thing.

I think the original German source was false for many reasons, including doing it for stream views.

A class restricted to races very few people actually like and with no potential to ever be expanded beyond those races is a terrible idea.

I rather like the idea of tinkers being restricted to gnomes and goblins at first.

We didn’t get Demon Hunters and you didn’t hear us crying about it.

This would allow the classes to be designed with exclusive gnomish and goblin flair. Sort of like race exclusive druid forms.

Then later you can add things like Dwarven tinkers, Dark Iron Dwarven tinkers, Blackrock tinkers, Draenic tinkers each with their own race specific flair.

yeah but demon hunters were canonically only an elf thing.

But tinkers/artificers have been on most of the races at this point.

A lot of classes were race exclusive at some point.

I would love it if they added rogues. I know we have them already but they are only useful for char select screen councilors for those poor burnt out meta classes.

You know drinking the thistle tea and gabbing about problems and such. Hardly ever see rogues playing anymore.

Monsters now live free of the fear of a random proctology exam. That’s a darn shame.

And some still are. Dracthyr and Demon Hunters say hello.
