“Sorry guys, can’t some to raid because I’ve been farming dungeons”
Blizzard already went down this path and it was horrible. Why are they trying to bring this back. This only impacts people who actually play the game.
Wrath has so many gold sinks and now you’re trying to nerf efficient ways to make gold.
Meanwhile their is a train of full collective bot hunters running in and out of Stratholme.
“Oh no, my 500g/hr in Kara is hurting the market, only need to do this for 16 hours and I can afford a VENDOR ring.”
Blizzard. You are rapidly making changes to kill off your own game. Stop.
Kara farming became a popular farm to do, you just pull the first few packs and reset. Runs take only a few minutes each and you can average ab 20 runs per hour.
Mage bots have been doing this all expansion, its only now when legitimate players started doing this farm Blizz added the 5 dungeon per hour rule to raids.
There’s no real reason why raids should have more lockouts than dungeons.
IMO this change does not really matter and I’ve only seen the complaints be made for entirely selfish reasons that come down to just crying about a gold farm being nerfed, so the complaints do not matter.
If there is any actual reason why raids should get unlimited resets and dungeons should get 5 per hour let’s hear them.
You’re right, the 5/hour limit is dumb across the board. Nerf the xp for boosts, but let people solo farm however they want to. It’s just gatekeeping being able to enjoy the game the way certain people want.
And it IS selfish, as selfish as the argument against it. It is how some people enjoy the game. Sure, we can quest outside as long as there are quests. We can compete with bots for herb/mining nodes. We can sit in front of the AH all day. We choose to kill groups of things in dungeons with certain path/spec/gearing requirements. Limiting that in any way, shape or form is kind of silly as it doesn’t really address any problems in the game and limits the enjoyment of playing it. The 5/hour lockout for dungeons didn’t matter THAT much since runs usually took just as long, but it was still kinda useless.
There has been a thriving solo dungeon/raid farming community with discords/youtubes dedicated to them. Blizzard is killing this.
