Yup, but Blizzard is also changing the game to be more what I like in shadowlands. So yay? I’m just giving feedback. And I am willing to bet if Blizzard did this. You would still stay.
No you’re not, you’re undermining why a lot of people play the game. I would no more force every player to use the same mog as remove achievements. I know there are players that live for each and to remove or harm their experience harms the game as a whole.
In this case, the OP could just make their own group and not use an addon. There is nothing stopping them. Nobody is entitled to a group finder group (LFD and LFR yes, but not group finder). They could turn him down because they don’t like his name or his class. But demanding massive structural changes to the game to solve what is arguably not a problem because it’s something the OP has in their own power to solve… that’s toxic.

The only people on a crusade against this addon are people with terrible scores, Nothing more you don’t see people at 2.5-3-4-5k complaining about Raider.io you see people that are sub 1k and have poor itemization and a boatload of mistakes just at a character sheet level complaining.

Well MMOS are not for you. Ever heard of that?
This does not force you to join it. It just encourages you to do it for the easiest way to get a group you know doing the content will succeed. That is it.
In other words. Learn to mmo.
Most of the replies in this thread are people arguing for it and the few people like yourself arguing against it. Thats why you have to reply to so many people and I am left here waiting for you to post again. Even great systems have people who dislike them.
But they aren’t. They are nerfing mythic+ loot not changing the ways you get into groups. Raiderio will still be necessary and grouping will be the same as BFA.

Nothing about MMO states GUILD Guilds are an OPTION to unite people under one banner, They are not a requirement

I’m hoping one day the community gets so bad that Blizzard does this fix. They understand no matter what systems they add. They need to slow down the pug meta.
They don’t need to slow down the pug meta, No-one except the really crappy players with zero content experience are complaining about the pug meta.

Bakkian … you CANNOT form or get into groups if your raider/io is well behind the curve, which it will be with how discrepant gearing for raiders versus no raiders will now be.
IO is a nice tool for getting some info about who you might be grouping with … but you have to be able to actually get into groups for it to be useful.
If you are a tank or healer, its not an issue, but no dps without high gear ilvls and high io scores are getting into pugs for meaningful content. thats; the issue … and it just gota a heckuva lot worse in SL.
Being social is a heavy part of mmo history. My change does not force you to be social. It just encourages you to do it. And you are throwing a hissy fit at the though of dealing with others.
I get it. Wow community blows, and I don’t like most of them either. But it is not going to get better by itself. Blizzard got to start forcing players to build networks.
RPG system? What are you referring too? Wow, imo, has not been an RPG since like…wrath. Its been an action RPG.
The only poor function of that system is tying player power to a comsetic choice. Other than that I don’t care. But what they are touting is incorrect. Because I should be choosing the covenant I align with not the ability I want. But instead I am choosing the ability I want at the cost of the covenant I align with.
This is incoherent. I have no idea what this means aside from the general “kill pugs” message.

If they wanted to add an RPG system they could at least add a built in TRP3 lite and last names…
The power driving by the faction you join is a rpg system they adding that got the community upset.
Either way, Blizzard is slowly waking up.
I like raider IO. It gives me an idea on who is likely a carry and who isnt.
