Raid vs Mythic+ loot tables

That poster already stated that it was sarcastic. The comment about it being sarcastic was in response to something else and both posts got deleted.

They explicitly said recently that if you want to be 100% optimal, you have to do all types of content. So I’m pretty sure that runs contrary to what they want

Yes. They want the quantity of loot reduced. What else you said is irrelevant to my point.

This will result in an increase in the percentage of players doing elite content as others find the game increasingly unrewarding and quit.

Covenants obviously run contrary to playing all types of content, so it’s fair to say that the devs are just making bad game designs that are incredibly contradictory.

Dey be trollin’ us.

No, this is worse. Set bonuses should be usable everywhere. Gear is gear at the end of the day. Stop trying to make “Loadouts” a thing, WoW is an RPG.

The design intent is for all three paths to provide parallel progression over the course of a tier, while providing players who engage in multiple paths at a comparable level a faster advancement experience.

With the lower ilvl of end-of-chest items from M+, the goal of a “faster advancement experience” is not necessarily met. From purely an ILVL standpoint, by running M+ you no longer get to a full set of Heroic or Mythic gear any faster, except for the rare case that your Great Vault reward for the M+ content happens to be for different slot than your other Great Vault options.

Personally I think the end-of-dungeon loot in M+ should work like it did in Horrific Visions: each key level rewards a higher ilvl of loot up to Mythic Raid ilvl, but you can only receive one item of each ilvl reward per week, and repeat drops will just reward the next highest ilvl that you haven’t received for that week.

“Loadouts” are being done right now.

My raid gear works in M+ and vice versa right now just fine. There’s no “loadouts”.

I don’t see how they’d find it any less unrewarding. If you max out at doing +5s you still get more choices of the gear you are aiming for, whatever higher ilvl that cache gives so you still wind up getting to BiS faster in the end.

There is only 1 vers/mastery ring on the entire mythic+ loot table.

For mail armor (the only armor type I’ve looked at) there are 4 bracers with 3 different stat combos (one duplicate).

Mythic+ offers a much more diverse secondary stat offering than the raid which is very limited.

But it feels more rewarding for the player you’re kind enough to trade it to .

There seems to be this perception there was too much loot in BFA.

But that’s not true. Sure, you could get a lot of gear from doing emissaries, but it was still lower than raid level gear and it took longer.

Without bonus rolls in raids, especially LFR, loot drops were pretty shamefully absent. And now you guys are going for less than that?

I really don’t know if the developers are conscious of just how awful that feels. As a DPS, you literally can wait up to an hour to get into an LFR wing; bang your head against the wall trying to do your best while other people mess things up; and get no loot at all through the run. No thank you.

I appreciate the goal, but with all do respect a +7 is NOT equal to Heroic Raiding. Even the 5 worse players can bash their head against the wall until they clear a mythic key.

a +15 giving Heroic loot would feel more appropriate, imo.

That’s the thing though, not everyone is going to want to do Raids just to be optimal in whatever they like to do

It’s like telling a PvPer that they have to do Raids just be 100% Optimal in PvP or telling a Raider they have to do PvP to be 100% optimal

Some people just want to do M+ Runs some just want to do Raids and some just want to do PvP, people shouldn’t have to require to do other types of content that they don’t enjoy to be 100% optimal

You’ll still probably gear up faster because of the weekly chest reward having choices so you won’t have wasted gear for quite awhile.

And for someone who does no M+, it most certainly will be more rewarding as you never got a cache before but now you do.

Yes there are. Just because your raid gear works in the +16, 17s you run doesn’t mean that there aren’t players who have multiple builds they have in the in-game feature that allows you to make “loadouts”.

I disagree. I play for the loot. Less loot = less dopamine = less fun.

players: warforging isn’t fun and the mythic + chest gives useless gear most of the time, can they be fixed?

blizzard: We fixed everything. Now you’ll just get less loot. Isn’t that fun!

Blizz disagrees. They literally told PvPers that and it has been true for raiders for awhile. (Commonly the stat stick PvP trinkets are BiS)
