Raid vs Mythic+ loot tables

this is a direct lie. if it were parallel paths the loot would scale to the same Item level, but you elevate one path over the others. not only does M+ and pvp gear cap out below mythic raid gear, the last couple of bosses of mythic raid get an extra item level boost over THAT.

the paths are not equal or parallel. don’t claim they are.

This has not been the case until BFA (at least for pvp). Even in BFA it was only the last season when they boosted nzoth/carapace ilvls… Cmon man did you just start playing in 8.3?

The last 2 bosses is the only outlier. Everything else caps at 226 and all content has various stat combinations and trinket effects.

And to be honest, having 20 people stick it out through 300 wipes on a single boss and it being the largest lore related victory of a patch, and only limited to a few slots, I don’t think it’s that bad if an idea.

I would like to respectfully but vehemently disagree with the elimination of bonus loot rolls without the addition of an additional system to alleviate my thousands of hours of mount runs. Please do not hurt me in this fashion. A daily quest that gives a luck buff, perhaps? Or a quest chain or achievement that rewards a toy that grants a minor luck buff (“This Time for Sure!” + ~0.01 - 1%) on a daily cd?

Please, have pity. Have mercy. I beg you.

I don’t think they’re outright removing bonus rolls, they’re just not proceeding with its implementation in SLs.

This is a terrible decision, bonus rolls are the only way currently of targeting specific loot a player wants.

With Blizzard’s obsession with RNG its not surprising though.

Mounts don’t drop from Bonus loot rolls.

This will mean that if I don’t raid, I can’t be competitive in the M+ leaderboards due to the MASSIVE difference in ilvl drops (not the quantity of loot… I think the quantity is fine!).
For me, this defeats the purpose of playing this xpac as I don’t want to raid again and I purely enjoyed the competitive M+ leaderboards :frowning:

A month into the expansion its going to drastically lower the amount of people doing lower keys. If someone starts an alt or joins the game late, who is gonna want to join a +3-5 key even to help them push their key.
I really think keys should give better gear at the end of the dungeon rather than a loot vault. It feels way better that if I want to target a piece of loot from +18 because its mythic raid equivalency why is that bad?
If I do the work for the gear that’s more meaningful than me hoping for my best 226 piece by spam running 10 +15’s that is just a chore. If my Mythic+ group finally times a +19 why not let them get rewarded, they put a lot of work in.
I would even be fine if we got Mythic raid iLvl loot in keys over +15 if we time the key only. That would incentivize people to push keys nd makes boosting much harder

This is a good point. What Blizzard is doing is phasing Mythic Plus out in the long run, and as a result, an even bigger tank shortage. Bad move.

If you wanted to avoid loot trading you could have set it to 212 some raiders do mythic to get upgrades. and with no bonus rolls and only 1 piece dropping you are showing to people that only do say 6 mythic+ with friends that they can do runs and get 0 loot from end of run you need gear to run or get left behind it should be a min of 2 pieces per mythic+. You will lose accounts to this so shrug

Sorry but…this is terrible.

There’s no development excuse for removing this.

To maximize your potential reward you have to do 10 m+, how is that going to be less people running them, compare to just 1 per week?

Very nice changes. Items might actually mean something again. Well done.

If you wanted to look at the big picture, then you would realize that only raiding will have longevity in this game in the end. The majority of people won’t run Mythic Plus and PvP outside of capping their one a week chest. You are creating a bigger tank shortage due to your “big picture”.

MoP world boss ones do.

Those are literally the only ones though.

Removing bonus rolls is like saying “oh you got nothing? well tough stuff come back next week sweetie”

Why there’s always some incredible dumb decisions you make in order to frustrate players? it’s crazy the way you think most of the time.

how is 10 m+ less than 1 per week?
