Raid or Die is Stupid

For someone who hasn’t touched a mythic raids this expansion you have bold statements… Actually for someone who couldn’t finish a raid you have some bold statements about such content. I do hope this isn’t you main.

I was amazed at how easy it was to get gear in M+ in comparison to Raid, so much so that i didnt even bother pugging raid and just did M+ cause it was easier to get high end gear.

I am a hardcore casual. I really like M+ and want to stay away from raiding. I have been playing on and off since vanilla and I only enjoy Mythic + as my end game ATM. I don’t have the time or want to waste other players time with raiding. With raiding once I down the boss, the content just becomes old quickly. It is the main reason I can’t play classic anymore is because the content is been there done that, but with M+ the conditions are always changing keeping it fresh and worth while.

Ya I mean loot would need changed. It would also promote running different dungeons. Blizzard always makes a few crap dungeons like shrine that no one runs.

I actually can’t believe folks are throwin’ a stink when they can still run these things daily.

Its not just one its two, Im sure PVP gear is also going to be lower than mythic raids meaning pvpers also are going to be worse shape as people doing mythic raids are going to crush them.

The mythic+ system evolved to where it was. Heroic raiding just isn’t available to everyone, especially when people have no patience for the undergeared. For PUGS, you need heroic raiding gear to get into the heroic raid pug. Mythic+ mitigates this stupidity.

Also, if the reduce Mythic+ gear, then they also need to reduce minimum raid size for mythic raids.

Well imagine if the shoe was on the other foot.

Lol do you have any sources that say subs are increasing? or staying dormant? I swear you’re the biggest Blizavision apologist and you’re going to be the last person playing this game and still denying people un subbing. Lmao

It doesn’t matter to me, but I do know that the primary difference between two is M+ reuses assets already developed for the expansion while raid content is additional assets that have to be developed as the expansion cycle goes on. For a lot of people, gear is a primary motivator and if raiding is too much of a hassle compared to M+, they forgo it entirely. This lowers the incentive for developers to continue creating raids. I’d rather WoW not just become World of Diablocraft where you speed run “not rifts.”

Shadowlands is sure shaping up to be a complete disaster. We can’t just have raiding as a endgame activity. All we had in WOD was raiding and it didn’t work.

Raiding does not have the appeal it once had. I don’t find it as enjoyable an experience as it once was. Especially if the raid is lousy and full of crap fights.

Mythic+ finally gave us an alternative to raiding that is what the game needed. Is it perfect? Of course not but it was something that can be a enjoyable competitive endgame activity. Nerfing it is a huge mistake.

Really pve is super boring and I’ve not been excited for any pve content since wrath. I just pvp. Though blizavision forced me to participate in pve so I like mythic because I can get in and get out. Not spend hours upon hours killing trash mobs after trash mobs. I see where you’re coming from. I think I’m the opposite side of the coin because I couldn’t care less if they stopped making raids altogether.

No one is forcing you to do anything. Perhaps you should seek therapy if you feel compelled to play a game you don’t enjoy.

On top of each instance dropping less loot? That is pretty significant from a probability standpoint. You are basically playing for 1 piece of loot per week at a very slow progression rate, with little time to enjoy the progression you worked towards, when its erased with the next patch. The end of dungeon loot from mythic + was already low from a probability stand point - you only had the option of continuously running it in hopes of getting loot.

Actually 3 item levels is pretty significant, that could mean your toon is completely starved of a specific secondary stat - especially if you are only focused on increasing your item level.

Oh I’m sorry didn’t know you’re incapable of reading in between the lines. Okay so you’re absolutely correct I do not have someone pointing a .357 at the back of my head forcing me to pve. I do however have a huge incentive to pve to get gear that is good for pvp. I love pvp in WoW it’s the only reason I still play it on occasion. I couldn’t care less about pve. I usually play an album or listen to a podcast to help me through it. I do hope you can understand where I’m coming from. Though if you do need me to dumb it down for you I will. I know we arn’t all 400IQ raid gods.

Pretty sure someone leaving your key is worse.

Not really. They’re both equally trivial. lol

Anyway back to 1 alt. Not mythic raiding on 4 characters. I hate raiding enough as is. lol

But the weekly chest is mythic level? You could ignore raiding entirely and could theoretically have mythic ilvl gear. I’m confused why it’s a bad thing for people to need to dip their toes into other content. I understand that some people don’t like certain content, I for one don’t like M+, but I’ll still do them if I have to. If heroic raiding is easier than M+, then it shouldn’t be much of an issue to smash through it one time a week for some gear.
