Free trials can’t use the software token.

OP wasn’t even talking about the in-game ui; he never made it that far.
But really, the ui for FF14 is heavily customizable, which is one of the game’s strengths. You can make it perfect for yourself, yet people complain…

I got a call from someone with a noticeable accent saying that due “suspicious” activity with my SSN they are forced to freeze my accounts. Before they could get any further, I screamed as loud as I could into the phone and hung up. No further calls and I have yet to be arrested.

Wait till you see what the starting quests are like. Zero action, barely any story, lots of very slow running around a city. I think I spent more than a month to finish it. It was so boring I just kept stopping.
I finally made out it of the city and to starting quests but they were super boring and the gameplay was even more boring. I keep hearing about how fun the game is but that starting play is just…awful.
GW2 I hooked into right away and played right up to level cap and kept going to finish the story. Great game imo (although I basically play it as single player).
Same with ESO, sucked in and easy to play. But man, FFXIV has a lot of passionate players but I just can’t get into it.

The first expac IS pretty bland, but the latest expac has blown most players away with it’s plot, narrative, action, and more. Hating the grind of 1-50 is very normal, and loving all that follows is also very normal.

Yeah, it starts off slow, but if you stick with it, the pay off is worth it.

After 25 mins, I finally was able to move my character for the first time…only to be yelled at and have the game march me to a quest giver.
So it starts pretty fast for a Final Fantasy game.
anime games are not an option, anime is a style meant specifically for 2d cartoons and the action of putting it in a 3d video game is a cheap exploitation of just the art style
