Yet you are trying to go out of your way by trying to use the term “Weeb” as if it’s an insult and that you should feel bad for playing it, they’re both MMO’s with people like you and I. Wouldn’t be happy if the articles of wow were called “Furry bait.”

FFXIV isn’t the type of game for the PoE and D3 crowd tbh. Still a great game but it leans more on the story and RP side and less on the arcade pewpewpew side. It’s not a bad game. Just not a game whose extra content I can see pulling that type of person in long term.

They don’t want cat ears and houses and gorgeous furniture and pets. They don’t want to sit through long cutscenes or look up what the 30 different tribes of their subrace mean for fun, or the naming conventions, to get into the heads of their character better.

Even with WoW’s issues, it’s still better geared for arcade style play.

Run by 3rd parties? I’d hardly call that trustworthy, but touche anyhow, I guess that is somewhat of an objective measurement.

Come back in 3 weeks after the patch has been played through, that will say a lot more than a rise in population immediately after a content patch comes out.

Look, i’ll admit, having my guild jump ship to FF 14 sucks, but learning to play both has been a breath of fresh air, though I will admit it sucks to see what they do better than wow repeatedly…

I thought it was a really fun game. It’s definitely worth the try. Doesn’t mean you will replace wow by any means. But it’s allot of fun IMO.

It’s the same excuse I used when someone from the Weeb game said that FF14 took the number 1 spot from WoW. I am just throwing it back the same argument now that WoW takes back number 1.

I mean, you could just call it FFXIV or FF14 or even just FF. It’s always been weird to me because the FFXIV visual aesthetic has never been that weeby. It looks more like SWTOR or GW2 more than anything weeb.
