UPDATE:
woke up today feeling like myself for first time in days. still working on getting energy back after having no appetite during the ill-spell. So i definitely won’t have the endurance to put in the 4 hours it takes to host the teahouse.
otoh, Sunday will be the last chance for Kunbo to take Shisu around to help the orphans. So if you see me ingame feel free to whisper me and maybe do some short RP.

Regular teahouse today, but next Sunday …
To celebrate the Festival we’ll be outside, with a special banquet style meal and entertainment.
The same day - Sunday July 2 - is the first day of Darkmoon Fair. So stock up on inky black potions, to help with the summer evening atmosphere. Fireworks are welcome too, just don’t burn anyone’s dinner or festive garb.

The current heat wave here just started a couple days ago. Even though not as bad as Texas , it has hit me hard enough that I just don’t feel up to running teahouse today. So unfortunately i need to cancel for tonight.
We’ll reschedule the festivities to sometime later in the Summer. And see you all next Sunday for the regular gathering. I’ll be acclimated by then.
We are going to be at the Cultural Food Festival today - trying out a new treat based on a suggestion by one of our patrons.

A seed of an idea just occurred to me while mentally preparing for today’s session …
wondering if a brief “IC weather report” might be fun. Very strictly for purposes of the event only. Something like - for example - “cold wind blowing off the Isles tonight”. Might help spark some rp hooks for guests. No imposition on anyone else or any other RP. Probably just announce it in the teahouse bnet community channel.
I’d like to hear our regulars’ as well as potential guests’ thoughts on the idea of a “local” weather report as part of the teahouse setting.
A tough decision to make - teahouse is cancelled tonight. Yeah, we’re in the storm path, but we’re in a safe area with very little risk of flooding or anything. Still too distracting to be the host our RPers deserve.
EDIT: We made it through ok. Other people in the local area had it a lot tougher than we did. See you all next Sunday.

Just found out that my demographic is 0.5% of the player base. Maybe RP is like fine wine …
On Sept 24th the teahouse will be a special one. Same place and time, except …
We’ll be outdoors, and serving a fixed menu banquet complete with Kunbo (and Shisu) serving courses with the style and flair of his old street-performance days.
Inky black potions are highly recommended. The lighting effects are some. There’s still time to grab some from Darkmoon Fair.
We’ll be there ready for people to gather at the usual time (shortly before 4) with the formal festivities scheduled to start at 4:30. If you can’t make it til later, don’t worry. We’ll be leaving time between each course for socializing and the usual RP. So you may miss the appetizers, but you’ll still be in time for dessert!

We will be at the teahouse but outside. Treats available as soon as we open, with performance beginning about 4:30.
IC it is evening, and we are planning on adding a few special effects to add to the atmospheric lighting. So please remember to bring Inky Black potions as well.
We will have a few of both potions to share with characters on either faction, and can trade to those who come early, so that they can help distribute some to those who lack them and arrive once the performance begins.
Last night was really enjoyable for us. It was a lot of fun finally getting to RP Shisu as a legit pc.
