Yet you’re still very easily distinguishable from a human.
When a character is different than the player, we tend to think that’s “always” a restriction.
In reality just because Alleria can control her form, and yes she did “transform different”, doesn’t mean Blizzard is dogmatic because of your personal preference.
Honestly, if the only thing holding someone back from playing alliance is that they can’t look like Legolas, they can stay horde.

Because they’re an Allied Race, and AR’s aren’t receiving customization options. Further, because they have no purpose behind getting those other than “I WANT MUH HIGH ELVES”. It’s not gonna happen. Moving on.
Aesthetics aside, Void Elves and Blood Elves both have always been High Elves from the start as a race.
They’re all Quel’dorei as a race still. So Void Elves right now the way they look, are how some High Elves look now… because they ARE High Elves.
They are in the future though and Blizzard confirmed this. They said for right now in the beginning of SL there will be only Core Races expanded.
This is really the core of it all.
Alliance wanted it since its inception and that was all it took to ensure it never happens.
I suppose it doesn’t feel like wining if you actually give paying customers what they are asking for. Well… alliance customers. Horde gets the goods over and over, alliance gets ruined over and over.
There are no arguments that hold up. Blizz has dismantled each of its own roadblocks finally coming down to “Learn your place Alliance”
And at this point, what can any Alliance player do?
If you wanted high elves, if you have waited for years, if you are grieving to watch that thing you have desired get fed to a mocking and grinning Horde…
learn your place.
How much clearer need it be made?

No they arn’t. Void elves ARE highelves, just as much as Bloodelves are. And neither of them are The highelf faction.

Nightborn are as much of a copy/paste as Highelves would be. Same basic race split into two factions.
They are not a copy and paste. They are a pretty modified model.
High Elves would have no lore justification for having a modified model. I know how important lore is to the helfers. Until its suddenly not.
Why not we have velves.
Although I don’t like distoring the lore but… considering what Blizz have done these days, they don’t care about it anyway.
Making up a lore about playable helves in Alliance? Not a big deal I think

Blizz has specifically stated that our characters follow the lore of their specific race and culture/city. For Velfs, you follow that lore of the scenario you went through. That’s all there is to it. It’s pretty simple and laid out for ya by Blizz.
I despise this mindset of “they’ve destroyed the lore, so let’s make it worse.”
This plus I would also like them to get a fel green eye option. Void Elves came from Blood Elves, so there is no reason they shouldn’t be able to have green. Gold eyes don’t make sense, but green do.
I’d like it , but it won’t happen. Alliance is the California to Blizzard’s Enron.

I don’t see why you would need to justify having different hairstyles, warpaints like Alleria has, and less ‘sunny’ skin tones (more silvery than golden). Add in a different default idle stance (like nightborn women do) to make them look less ‘valley girl’. And jobs done. Visably distinct while compleatly within the lore.

Comestic stuff trigger’s a lot of people. Some, because they are not happy with their compromise.
Others, because they hate to share some pixels with other people that play the same game.
I Just wish void elves could get more delevoping time to shine more often, so people can be proud of them. But, oh well. Helves and belves are the favorite sons, right? 
The stupidity in this threads reply is just insane , i get it you dont like other player having X options on their character … get over it . Its about time wow get a real character customization worthy of 2020 , even if it means others can pick options you dont like or think shouldnt be in game !!
