Queue Times

It absolutely does suck and I’m sorry that this is happening to people.

My server was completely deleted.

It just sucks they didn’t help prevent this because all my toons are on grob. All I’ve know is grob. Now I’m left with a choice leave the people I know and community I love/helped build to go to another server I don’t know. Or stay and hope they fix it

They can. For example, just shut down Faerlina and Bene. Open up 10 servers with names that are just random strings of characters, and offer the people who were on those servers free transfers to those servers.

I don’t recommend this course of action. Just add more layers.

We wanted to start a fresh server, and our region (OCE) wasn’t even given one, nor was South America. So we’re all piled in on the lone fresh start PvP server on US West.

Sorry your server was deleted hun. That’s crappy. (yet just more encouraging of megaservers)

exactly… wow is about rollin with your squad to down content you didn’t think you could… To run stuff with your friends… etc

Telling someone they are the problem and should just transfer like its no big deal is just silly. Id rather not play than leave my friends.

I feel you man, hopefully, they’ll put something into action soon without disrupting all these players’ friends and families.

It just blows my mind that Herod was deleted. This was literally the server people picked because it was the safe choice because “we won’t have to transfer after the tourists stop playing classic”. This place was the biggest server (at least in the Americas) until it was passed by Faerlina in phase 2 or 3.

My horde characters were on that server, I couldn’t believe it either. When I logged on, there was 1 other horde character online. lol

Tin we may be queued and can’t raid tonight… but dare i say… Troll defeated ?
I will take that over a KJ 1shot all day long :stuck_out_tongue:

So it wasn’t even empty? Like I get trimming the fat of low pop servers (but this still encourages the megaservers Blizz is trying to avoid), but a high to med pop server is just weird.

Their queue finished.

The solution is close character creation on the servers with too high of a population. If you don’t have a character that is a non-transfer that isn’t higher than level 60, you shouldn’t be able to create a character on that realm. People who have grinded the entire way with friends and making new ones along the way, shouldn’t have to be subjected to these unreasonable wait times. How hard would that have been? If you’re preaching for people to take the free xfer, why not take that same logic and say to the people crowding the server to take a hike?

Well played sir, well played indeed.

When the exodous to faerlina started it was pretty big still. Like… 6k players.

When it was deleted, nobody was left anyway.

Must be nice.

Yeah, the server wasn’t completely empty when I xfered but it was pretty close. I was running around Shatt and only saw one other character and it was ally.

You must be new here. I got tired of it in TBC.

Ouch, that’s kinda depressing.

I don’t play retail. It’s a dumpster fire, has been for years, so this has been an interesting trip down memory lane (albeit tainted by retail instant gratification mentalities).

I’d say come reroll on Skyfury, but 10K+ queues and getting worse daily, is probably not all that enticing. lol

Yeah, Grobb is rough. For a 10k queue time on a new server, I’ll wait until they start kicking people out haha.
