This is basically the GW1 Henchmen and Hero Feature. I used it myself.
id only see it bein used outside of that if it were to temporarily replace a player if they left mid-fight.
ya know… like nerd ragers n so on?
I just dont think it should be used at m+ at all.
“lets kick out this guy, the ai is better”
Then that player would be able to redo the dungeon with a whole crew of AI and not have to deal with the toxic players at all.
Way too late to create a whole system by 10.2, but 11.0? Do it!
Bring back the mission table, but use it as a tool to recruit and train your dungeon team.
Rewards should be below that of groups who use real players. Make it tourist mode only.
long as its for mythic 0 and normal, heroic sure. i’m all for getting rid of que times in anyway. can you imagine how many hrs of all of us just sitting in ques thru the yrs.
What an odd thing to add to the game if true. Yes it exists in FFXIV but that’s because you have to do instanced content on your journey, and Japanese players were complaining a lot about that because of their strange etiquette around duty finder. It’s not a particularly fun experience to play with their bots and I personally never use them in that game, not even on the first run.
If FF is their model though, I hope they put story characters instead of generic one. (Different for horde and alliance of course.) Going to Brackenhide Hollow with Khadgar or Wrathion in my party could be good memes.
Also role: 1 damage. I hope that’s not permanent.
Yes it’s a nice QoL for DPS players to skip the queue, but it’s also nice for healers and tanks to be able to practice with bots before they make a beginner mistake in a real group and get kicked. Queue anxiety is a real thing for some tanks and healers.
Fair, keep it out of mythic+ then.
I pray the AI can vote kick the player. That would the greatest thing blizzard has ever created.
really hope they bring ai to the dungeons. never have to play with people again lol.
the xiv system of trusts does this and its abt time wow jumps in.
The #1 competition allows this, it’s about time people aren’t forced to deal with this awful community.
Highly doubt this would be for any difficulty other than normal dungeons for leveling.
The best case scenario would be if I could run with my own alts in the dungeons.
I literally just commented about this earlier today on another post. I’m all for it. As a tank/healer/dps player, faster queue times are faster queue times. I’m tired of waiting for queues to pop in this game.
It’s just a datamined string, which isn’t conclusive evidence that it’s happening anytime soon if at all.
Careful. The AI might decide to purge Area52.
I might actually try m+ if it’s with AI where I don’t have to deal with a-hattery.
AI? More like a bot. An AI would analyze your weaknesses and discover you were bullied by a guy named Brad in Jr high school, and make the first boss look just like him, with the same voice. 2nd boss would be your pet that died when you were 5, you would run out of the dungeon screaming before the halfway point.
You wouldn’t want to know about heroic, lets hope its just a bot,
Sweet, I can’t wait for them to add an A.I. auto pilot mode so I don’t have to play my character either. would love to just tab out and do something else while my character auto runs the dungeon with bots. Would save so much time and it would be so much less stresful on me too.
fantastic idea. i have soooo many normal dungeon quests cluttering up the place on my terrible alts i can’t be bothered to learn to play in group content, now i can just blast through them and get them out my log. i think it’ll be fine for normal/heroic though i can’t see it replacing mythic since they are clear, from the lack of m0 group finder, that they want mythic and m+ to be a full group adventure.
it would be nice if they made a (rewardless) escalating difficulty level with different types of AI for healers and tanks to practice with. i know so many people, mostly with anxiety, who wouldn’t mind healing but are terrified of being berated during the learning curve. being able to run a simulated m+ with the AI set to “lemming” mode might help them gain more confidence in a safe environment before progressing to grouping with actual players.
