Queue dungeons with AI NPCs in 10.2

Sounds like the Trust System from FFXIV, only without the need to level your Party members.

I like this.

It’s not like I don’t believe it,D&D has this feature, not saying it’s the same . I just wonder what strings are attach to this and what kind of twist will Blizzard do.

Make the AI smart like doombots or dragons dogma and I’m fine with it. :cloud_with_rain:

If true, I don’t really see the point.

A better solution would be to just make dungeons not require tanks or healers anymore. So even 5 dps can do them.

I believe that the point is to be able to experience dungeon content without needing 4 other players to do it.

There are a number of people who enjoy the game, but not the grouping aspect. This would give them an opportunity to see the content while it’s still somewhat current. The alternative for years has been to go back at a later date to one shot everything.

I dunno.

Just doing a normal dungeon run is pretty effortless, speaking as someone who doesn’t even do a lot of group content.

And I’m wary of removing social aspects of the game when other options are available.

I hope it’s true. Outside the odd lfr or timewalking dungeon, I’ve mostly become a hermit and don’t interact with players in the game anymore. I would definitely use this feature.

Fair point, but there are people who don’t want to be a part of a group dynamic that may also enjoy this type of change.

The good part is that it won’t interfere with any of the other dungeon activities as we know them today. I look at it as LFR, but for dungeons instead.

Being able to use this and grab those dungeon quests would be pretty nice, get in grab it, and then leave, hopefully, if it’s just you and AI you wouldn’t get a deserted debuff.

I suspect the idea is to have it be for normals, maybe heroics. That way, when you’re doing the story and get the quest to go into the dungeon, you can go into the dungeon and be guaranteed the chance to go through the dungeon’s story, instead of having multiple speeches and bosses overlap because the tank is an ilvl 445 Demon Hunter who wanted to show off or something.

Plus, getting to see/practice the mechanics a bit without the “your first time here is no excuse for not knowing everything intimately /kick” people happening.

If only it worked with lfr raids. Ain’t no one got time for 45 minute queue times.

Blizzard has this thing these days about adopting good ideas from other games and just making them worse. Almost as if its chronic problem they cant overcome. “We are compelled to make bad game decisions…” and even when they do make good ones, they eventually water it down to be bad in the long run.

Don’t worry, I’m sure blizz won’t let the AI toons kick you.
At least I don’t think they would.

Neat idea. I like the theory of being able to use my alts as the party members. Maybe apply this to FLR or even just replace LFR with a 10 man ai raid. Keep it out of the higher difficulty stuff though I guess. At least for now. Plus if they apply this to older dungeons I can kill all those optional bosses everybody skips.

If it is a real thing, it’ll help them retain a lot of newer players. Good move.

I could see it happening for the absolute minimum difficulty that anyone can faceroll through.

Don’t get your hopes up for anything like M+ though.

If this happens it would be the miracle that wow needs to new train tanks and healers.

Starting off iteration 1 of this new tech at normal level dungeons sounds like a good plan.

Can always move up as progress is made with the AI tuning and things like that.

Seems too easy, what the catch. There just to be something they’ll pull with this.

As long as it stays in LFG dungeons. I dont care either way.
