Question To People Who Vehemently Dislike Group Loot

you said the following:

and i stated how it is literally impossible for this to happen with personal loot.

this isn’t an opinion, it is a fact that one person CANNOT win more than one piece of loot per boss (AT MAXIMUM) with personal loot.

go back to your business instead of getting mad when i state facts

glad you’ve finally realized that i’m right and have nothing more to say

lul, you’re so unhinged and angry you checked back over 2 hours after your last message to talk about it more to yourself. Embarrassing. Majorly. Your inability to understand words isn’t my problem, little man,

With personal loot in shadowlands I was able to get most of my LFR set, no issue at all. 1 in 3 bosses dropped loot.

With dragonflight I haven’t won a single item in LFR, at all, not off any boss. Only reason I do have some of it is from the weekly vault.

I have also run LFR on 2 alts. I’ve gotten 1 drop on my druid.

If you don’t think this system is flawed you aren’t playing the same game.

(BTW I also run Normal on my main, and have gotten ZERO drops)

I can also point out I’ve personally seen someone get 2 tier tokens in 1 run. I’ve seen a plate class loot a cloth item need rolled by cloth. Figure that out for me please.

its funny how you have no retort other than “can’t understand words” because you know i’m right and you are lliterally unable to articulate your thoughts to prove me wrong (because you can’t).

yup, sounds about right to me

you said

well, as i’ve stated numerous times… a person CANNOT win more than one piece of loot per boss with personal loot, so your statement is completely invalid… (please tell me how a person thinks ALL drops should be for them when they advocate for a system that prevents them from winning more than one piece per boss? LOL IM WAITING).

you are wrong, you know you are wrong and you have nothing to say in retort

it’s been a pleasure but you are free to move along now, proving you wrong over and over again is growing oh so tiresome.

yes, you don’t have to answer… no one asked for your input and no one wants your input. seeya later

When you get my point correct I’ll argue it with you. Until then, you have yourself a day, clown.

once again, no real response, only a poor attempt at an insult because you have no response… sounds about right

thanks for continuing to prove me correct

i just find it laughable that you have zero argument but still continue to type

Yep, well said. And even if they’re basically the same, like you said, one feels a lot worse. Group loot suck can it IMO.

I repeat: Personal Loot never, ever generates unusable loot. Whether you choose not to equip it because it is an iLvl downgrade (or not BiS in some way) is a different matter.

Compare this with Group Loot, which can and will generate armor types and weapon types that literally no one on the entire team can even equip.

Personal Loot does guarantee that the items will drop in proportion to your team’s composition, statistically in the long term.

A 20-man team with 10 melee and non-cloth healing specs but 10 Mages, Warlocks, and Shadow Priests is likely to see 5 times more DPS Intellect trinkets and cloth armor than a similar 20-man team with only 2 Mages, Warlocks, and Shadow Priests.

Class stacking is not a problem for the typical casual guild, or solo player who PUGs raids or does Raid Finder.

More loot for more players should take precedence over trying to counter the tactics of a minority of extremely enthusiastic players.

Either of these solutions sounds good to me, but LFR should still be Personal Loot no matter what.

If they only raid for 4 weeks then sell M+ carries why should raid loot be catered too that.

Blizzard had solved this so many times already and can’t seem to get it through their heads to not change for change’s sake. Just add badges to bosses that can be traded for gear and everyone gets a few per run. That way nobody feels like they are running this without any reward.

I don’t know if I’d go that far as to call him that.

Unless you’re the one that gets the loot, right?

Don’t answer, I know the truth. :face_with_monocle:

I find the selfish attitude that someone deserves loot for simply showing up to be toxic. Loot should be distributed in such a way that it benefits the raid team as a whole. The faster you optimize gear, the faster you’re killing more bosses, the more loot you get.

This GenX style participation trophy nonsense needs to stop.

ofc. everybody loves and wants loot. but in a “random” group setting nobody. not me not nobody should be winning 2 and 3 items off 1 boss. especially when all 2 and 3 items are 10-20 ilvl downgrades.

and actually i am 1 in a million in this game. if i see someone in more need than me and it is not a huge upgrade with perfect stats i will pass for them. yea thats boring ole’ me.

It wouldn’t be funneling the best gear to the worst player… everyone would be getting gear at approximately the same rate, unless someone gets particularly unlucky or lucky. But there is still loot trading in personal loot… and mythic+ gear+vault gear… I think you are being dishonest in your argument.

And no just because you are toping the meters on the first couple bosses doesn’t mean you are the best player.

Which in reality, is the same… Its all about perception.

On group loot there is defacto master loot which every serious guild uses. Under personal loot this was impossible. That’s why I prefer personal loot.

Also, I’d much rather not see myself losing every item I roll on in pugs. Personal loot had the rolls invisible. That was much better, imo.

I’m not saying personal loot was perfect, but it’s a far sight better than group loot.

I’m going to be honest. I don’t really care about which is which. Sometimes I get loot, sometimes I do not. That happens regardless of the loot system. Sometimes loot happens, other times loot does not happen. I think sometimes we dig a bit too deep just to be a little bit peeved.

Which is why if they ever bring back PL in raid I want them to make all the rolls transparent. So People can realize they are getting completely locked out of loot that someone else could have passed on.
