Quest Transmogs Not Unlocked Retroactive on Live?

In the beta, transmogs from previously completed quests were unlocking for all armor types retroactively when a character was copied from live. Now that Warbands are on live, though, none of my previously completed quests have unlocked the transmogs for other armor types. Is this an unannounced change or a bug?

Perhaps I haven’t dug far enough, but I am surprised this is the only post on the forum about this since the patch went live. Even if you complete quests brand new, it doesn’t give the appearances from other armor types, as I was under the impression it should.

Seriously? I hadn’t noticed because the game has been too unstable for me to even bother trying to play. That goes directly against how they said Warbands would work.

Okay, that’s definitely a bug. It was definitely giving the other appearances on beta, Wowhead had screenshots of it and everything.

Unless that’s being held back until the expansion launch for whatever weird reason, but I don’t know why it would when all of the other warband stuff is supposed to be live now.

I saw that as well. And it was supposed to be for all quests in the game, right? I’ve only tested with BC quests, but nothing I saw on Wowhead or otherwise indicated any restrictions. (edited for clarity)

Yeah, it was even working for removed quests in Beta. People were mentioning unlocking hundreds of unobtainable transmogs from classic era quests that are gone now.

That’s weird. Definitely not as advertised or functioning in the beta. I know I’ve got to get around to doing lore master on horde side but I have it on Alliance for every thing except maybe DF I’m at work and would have to check.

I’ve seen this as a feature for months. I hope it’s just bugged on live or temporarily off so the servers don’t explode.

Yeah. That’d be my hope.

transmog DENIED.

There’s another thread about this in Bug Reports now, too. Quests still aren't giving all transmogs in TWW prepatch

Hopefully we can get some kind of communication from Blizzard about all the Warband problems before the business week is over.

Would like to hear from Blizzard on this? A response to an upcoming change or addition. The feature is also not working for completing existing quests. IE they do not award all of the mog armors when completing quest.

i’d heard something about this, but wasn’t sure if it was for real?

i mean… that’s a LOT of mogs
would our characters even be flagged for completion of pre-cata quests this far on?
(because that’d be wild if it was a thing!)

They are. When the transmog collection was first added, previously completed quest rewards were retroactively added to the collection, but it was restricted to the armor and weapon types the characters who completed those quests could equip.

The game actually has to track every quest that every character has completed - that’s how it knows not to offer you those quests (unless they’re repeatable, in which case it tracks how many times you’ve completed them and when the last time was as well).

the quests don’t exist, so i didn’t know if the ID’s would still be retained after all this time

NOW I WANT ALL MY MOGS!!

You can borrow mine and I will switch out to the torch off hand.

Honestly I don’t know where to start tracking for missing quest transmog.

It was really obvious for me because I’ve only done the Dragonflight and Shadowlands campaigns once, on a Plate class, so I’m still missing a ton of mogs from stuff that I just simply will not be doing again.

There been no news on this anyone heard of anything even off site from Blizzard?

Bumping this as a concern, has anyone heard anything?

I’m shocked there been no response yet. Is this normal for blizzard?
