Actually?! I was going to start a brand new Loremaster run too. That’s crazy, because I thought they said the same thing during Blizzcon and multiple interviews as well. Is it bugged or have they completely reneged on the idea entirely?

No one knows. Blizzard refuses to comment. It pisses me off too.

I’ll leave this statement hear as well, since the other thread is categorized under support.

Based off what was said, and what was on the PTR, I assumed this feature would continue on Live. MrGM interviewed developer Morgan Day and asked about collecting transmog appearances from questing, and if that’ll be retroactive.

I really hope we get some answers on this because I purposely haven’t been questing in hopes of this feature coming to Live.

It might just be rolled out later slowly…

The game loading in all the unlocks seems like it would be a massive amounts of actions and with a systems update, pre expansion event and a new expansion they might just wanna let things settle down first

I agree with both of these statements. My initial thinking was that they were gonna hold off for a reset but since we just had our reset I feel like that rules it out.

Also, I don’t have much to add save to increase attention to this. I was really hopeful for this to be a thing. And if it is not intended, then it would be nice to hear something about it from Blizz. Just so we all know.

Wowhead is now reporting that some customer sevice rep said it was a bug, directly contradicting dev interview answers.

Ridiculous.

That’s honestly pretty hilarious.

One of the biggest things about Warbands was to remove the tedium of collecting transmogs, and had been like that through the entire Beta.

I guess they realized that hurt MAUs to much and just said eff it, let’s “fix” the bug. Enjoy doing all the content 8+ times for transmog.

Yeah it’s complete and utter bull. This was the one feature I was looking forward to the most.
If it was a bug, some bugs have become features before.
/Rolls out the wagon and starts tossing pitchforks and torches to the angry masses.
Release the transmog!

“Bug”.

It was there all through Beta, everyone knew about it. They just didn’t say anything about it until the live servers dropped and oh look suddenly it’s not a thing.

Just saw this posted on Wowhead. If this is really the case, I will not be renewing my subscription. The new expansion does not excite me, and this was a major feature that I was looking forward to.

I came back to the game after a year for this feature alone. So this is really unfortunate, and I’ll be enjoying my time elsewhere again.
