Just to be clear, it’s likely a quest that you’re already on that has the area phased out the way it is. You need to look through your quests and see where you’re at. Then try completing whatever you currently have to get your to move past this particular phase.
Well, if the core issue is phasing, then advancing you to the next quest might not really be much of a help. You could be right about that. But it might be worth asking anyway on the slim chance that it gets you progressing again.
It sucks that they didn’t catch this during all the testing. You’d think they would have test leveled at least a few Vulperas all the way from 20 to 120 and through all the zones and various chains, with the artifact weapon kind of being an important one to test.
Sorry. I hope they fix it for you soon.
Are you going to tell me to turn my modem on and off next? Completely and entirely not what’s going on here.
What questgiver? Oh you mean the one that disappeared? Listen, I posted a video a few posts up. Even gave the timestamp. Maybe WATCH the video on the timestamp? Then come back and explain to me how to make the NPC appear, you know, since she disappears after I turn in the quest.
There is nothing that I’m missing. I’ve done this before.
Calm down…
Getting hot under the collar is not gonna help. Is your ticket still open?
Yes, didn’t much appreciate the cookie cutter lame replies of that one either. Never had I thought I’d have worse customer service after dealing with my phone company.
My problem is “advice” from people clearly not reading what I wrote, which in turn is extremely aggravating.
Retaking the quest? What quest? The quest is gone since I turned it in, then the questgiver immediately phased before I could accept the next step. Not that I have any faith that would have helped since taking/retaking/taking/retaking/taking/retaking the Pandaria phased quest left me in the unphased world as well.
This is so unbelievably sloppy from QA. This is most likely the worst and buggiest patch I’ve ever had to deal with.
Problem is, this is obviously not going to be fixed until the earliest on Tuesday. If it’t not fixed Tuesday, wait another 7 days to play the game, for which I’m paying a subscription?
And yes, I’m getting aggravated. Lack of official replies. Lack of anything but cookie cutter replies which clearly has nothing to do with this issue. Lack of play time on my days off.
I know it’s frustrating. It was pretty frustrating for me when I was stuck on that Vasjir quest, unable to complete the grand finale of that zone for weeks until a GM was allowed to move me ahead to the next step in the chain. That’s why I suggested that you ask in a ticket if they would be allowed to do that for you under the circumstances. I apologize if my comments added to your frustration; that wasn’t my intent. I really do hope they fix this for you soon.
Unfortunately this is not something the Game Masters are going to be able to assist with right now. Adjusting your quest progression could do more harm than good in a situation where we aren’t sure what the problem is. That’s why, when bugs are reported, we wait until the QA team has reviewed the issue and determined what actions need to be taken.
In most cases, that actions is to repair the bug that is causing the problem and let players resume normal play. So Game Masters wouldn’t be needed once the issue is resolved.
The problem you encountered with the quest Clandestine Operation is on the radar. But I don’t have any additional information to provide you with at this time.
Yep. It was the same thing with the Vasjir issue. And that was current content that people were blocked from, and it still took weeks. I don’t say this to cause further angst for Rikoa, but rather to caution that this could take some time to be addressed. Sadly, it’s not a situation in which he could simply go quest elsewhere; it’s the artifact weapon. It’s kind of core to that whole expansion.
Thank you for the reply. Sadly this is kind of game breaking for me, the artifact weapon is the whole point of that expansion. And it kind of leaves me with a feeling of not wanting to progress that character any further, what’s to say what else is broken down the road.
It’s definitely also not just that quest, it seems to be everything that involves phasing. And also, some Horde NPC’s apparently see my Vulpera as an enemy as well.
I made a post over in another thread about how quickly things can change during a patch week…
As a good example of this, it seems like Game Masters may be able to assist with this quest chain now. I see that you have a reopened ticket in queue so please let that sit open and don’t close it.
As for the issue appearing Hostile to some Horde NPCs - I haven’t been able to track down any open investigations for that (doesn’t mean they aren’t happening, I just haven’t found them yet). If you run across specific NPCs, let me know which ones. That info might help me narrow my search.
There is a dropped quest starter called A Scarlet Letter. I looted the letter, started the quest, headed to Lillian Voss, then she replies she doesn’t need to be rescued by an abomination like me and doesn’t actually further the quest. Below is the normal conversation, MY progress stops after she says she’ll never allow herself to be rescued.
Lilian Voss: What are you doing here? Get out of here!
Player: I’m here to rescue you.
Lilian Voss: First of all, I don’t need to be rescued. Second of all, I’d never allow myself to be rescued by an abomination like you!
Player: Why did the Scarlet Crusade put you in a cage? They usually kill the undead on sight.
Lilian Voss: I’m NOT undead! Not for long, anyway. My father will rescue me, I know it…
Player: Your father?
Thank you! That allowed me to track down the bug. It looks like this can happen with Allied Races for that quest. It looks like a hotfix is already planned. We may need to wait for restarts this week to see if that resolves this.
You’re welcome, I’m still more concerned about the quest on where my progress is pretty much halted with the artifact weapon but at least you confirmed it’s on the radar.
Im stuck at the same point. Pretty much halts ALL progress on a Vulp Hunter.
