Quest giver disappeared

I was going through the beginning of the quest line for the artifact bow, Call of The Marksman, turned in the quest and the questgiver disappeared and I was instantly attacked by non phased level 110 mobs. She never reappeared for the next step in the quest.

This is the hunter it happened to.

I would like to update with the fact I think this is related to phasing not working for the Vulpera. On Pandaria I was also unable to phase for the quest with the witch in the woods.

The noob quest to rescue Lillian Voss from the Scarlet Crusade is also undoable since she sees my Vulpera as hostile.

Maybe fix these gamebreaking bugs?

You have 2 choices here open a stuck on quest and have a GM help you out and post in the bug forums devleopers dont know about bugs that dont get reported.

I did already. Would still like an update on the issue of course. It would seem being unable to do any quests involving phasing would be entirely gamebreaking.

Its a sunday and most are outa office till tommorow most any can do is offer advice.

Well that’s unfortunate

QA usually doesn’t update on fixing bugs. The most they usually say is that they are aware of an issue and are working on it.

Keep an eye out for Hotfixes. The only indication you receive may be a reference in the Hotfixes that they have patched it or that they are working on the patch.

So I received an official response ingame to my ticket where I’m advised to seek help on WoWhead.

So I’m usually polite and patient but seriously, get a grip. Going on two days without any progress, I understand this is probably being worked on but that reply was seriously stupid.

They can’t do much while something is being looked into / fixed. They forward you to wowhead because it’s a great resource. GM’s can’t give game hints, but on wowhead you’ll find usually in the comments any work arounds that players have found.

I don’t think quite think you understand here. There IS no workaround. Progress is HALTED without the phasing working.

What are you talking about, game hints? I’ve done this on other hunters, this isn’t a problem on my end. It’s everything that has to do with phasing in the game and it’s GAME BREAKING.

The quest where you live through the hozen and the witch in Pandaria, ooops, doesn’t phase you into the quest. The quest that you need to progress the quest for your artifact, ooops, doesn’t phase you into the right spot.

Just keep playing the game and when you run into phasing, oooops, just look on WoWhead or stop playing?

By any chance you kept the ticket open? if not, re-open it.

No one here can do anything about the bug. We are not the devs or QA nor do they come her for reports.

I know you’re not the devs, which is why it would be great to know my entire progress isn’t down the garbage can on that character from some official source.

Just re-open the ticket if you didn’t not mark it resolved already.

The SFAs here are not gonna give you that confirmation.

So just in case there’s any confusion here, at timestamp 1:28 the guy turns in the quest and is given the next step.

On MY end, the NPC’s disappear and I remain unphased.

So add that to a Bug Report in the Bug Report forum. GMs and SFAs are not QA and don’t fix bugs.

That’s good to know, could they then perhaps just reset my quest progress from scratch on that particular quest line since it’s one where I can’t exactly just retake the quest?

So now I’m looking at Tuesday at the earliest until I can actually progress in the game again?

So sorry to hear you are experiencing questing progression problems. That sucks.

You can try another ticket under quests and ask them to advance you to the next quest in the chain. Sometimes that’s possible when situations like this happen that stop progression. But the GMs may only do that when the developers tell them they may. And it can take a long time before the developers are willing to give that permission to the GMs.

I think it was the Vasjir quest quest where the penultimate quest was bugged and people got stuck on the sub and eventually booted back to the start of the broken quest. Weeks later, the devs just couldn’t get it fixed, so they authorized GMs to simply advance players past that quest and on to the final encounter.

Hopefully, the GMs will be authorized to advance you as well (if the developers are unable to fix the problem).

edit-- sorry for alt posting character.

My problem is that it’s not just this quest, it’s apparently everything that has to do with phasing. If this isn’t fixed by Tuesday I really don’t see any reason to keep my subscription going until they fix it, permanently.

I’ve had to skip several quests leveling up already but this one is quite literally progress stopping.

And what would be the point of just skipping past this quest, it’s every single thing I’ve encountered that has to do with phasing. I don’t much intend to play a game that will stop my progress completely and then wait for a GM to skip me past it after several weeks, only to have it happen the next day with the next phased quest.
