Quest Bug - An Original Journey Through Time

having this issue on all my characters as well. most i can get to register is 1/5 before any load screen causing it to drop from log erasing progress. kinda of a funky end to all this anniversary timewalking.

This is happening to me as well

Add me to the list as well. I even tried disabling addons and it still dropped. I did get the Traveler’s Log credit for 5 TW dungeons though.

As noted in other posts, this appears to be an issue that only affects those who completed the quest last week. I’ve tried on my main but, regardless of where I pick the quest up, it always vanishes the second I enter/leave an instance or zone. Alts that didn’t complete the quest last week have no issues.

Same here, I thought it was based on my UI or profile issue with, WTF/Addon Folder.
I opened a ticket about it, I expect support will (what they should do) tell me it’s a bug, or tell me to delete my WTF/Interface/Cache folders.

Thanks for the original posting of this and for all of you who have confirmed this issue.

Still an ongoing issue.

I don’t think zoning has anything to do with it. I was literally standing on the anniversary platform and watched the quest disappear from my log. No zoning required.

Taking it from the dude in Orgrimmar: Disappared upon loading in.
Taking it from the auto-quest at the start of a dungeon: Accepted, disappeared after finishing dungeon.
Taking it from the dude in the Anniversary tent: Disappeared upon loading in.

So far the only “theory” I haven’t been able to rule out is the one where a toon that didn’t do the quest last week is able to this week. Unfortunately with the holiday I have no idea which of my leveling toons DIDN’T do it last week, as most of them did!

edit: Also please everyone posting or reading in this thread, if you’re having this issue, submit a bug report in game so it will light up their tracking console like a Winter Veil tree.

Maybe they’ll fix it before resets so you guys can finish the quest…

All that came to mind reading this was the dude back in the day that put a piece of electrical tape over the check engine light in his car… I’m sure Blizzard does the same thing if they even get a notification of bug reports lol

Same issue is happening with all of my accounts. I thought it was just me, so I created a ticket but then got fussed at and told to report this. So commenting for visability!

They responded to my support ticket and asked me to default/reset my UI.
Otherwise, they suggest submitting a bug-report if I still have the issue, which I plan to do now.

Same. I just submitted a bug report as well. IDK why this one annoys me so much, tbh. At least with enough people having the issue they may actually fix it.

This is infuriating. I did 2 TW’s. My progress is 0/5, because I magically lose and then have to re-accept the quest. Also, the quest says it gives 1 Badge lol 1. Blizz posted an update about this issue.

“We have received several reports of this issue and can confirm it is not working as intended. Customer Support does not have a workaround or resolution that can be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience while our developers work as quickly as possible to resolve the issue.”
