If I recall correctly, this character did not do the quest last week. So maybe this only happens on characters who did the quest last week. I wonder if it’s just that they forgot to update a quest id or something.

I think you are on to something, I tested on an alt that didn’t do this quest last week, and I was able to complete it.

I’ve had it happen three times in a row. First two times, picked up the quest in the celebration area, did a dungeon, left the group, and the quest disappeared. The third time it disappeared as I was going into the dungeon, but someone in the group shared it. We finished the dungeon, my quest log showed 1/5 complete, but when I left the group the quest just disappeared again.

Same for me. The quest was dropped before I did a timewalking dungeon so I picked it up again, did two dungeons in a row, but then the quest was dropped when I returned to Tanaris (where I had picked up the quest and queued for the dungeons). Picked up the quest a third time, no progress reported, back at 0/5. Bummer.

Edit: In addition, the Great Vault recorded only 1 of the 2 timewalking runs.

Edit #2: Having lost the quest for a third time, I returned to Tanaris and picked it up again, still at 0/5. I ported back to Donogal and was pleased to see that at least the quest was still being tracked – but as I was looking at it, the quest disappeared from the log.

Oh, nevermind. Tried to do the max level version of the weekly again on my DK, it auto-abandoned zoning into one of the DM wings. gg Blizz.

Ive tried this on 4 different characters on 2 different servers (Velen and Eonar which are merged). 3 of the characters were 80 and 1 is still leveling. 2 of the max levels completed the quest w/o issues but for the other two the quest keep dropping. The only consistent thing if it is going to happen it does so changing zones and seems to happen every time to an affected character but there no way to tell if a character is affected until it happens.

Timewalking quest dropped

Im having the same issue. Ive done 3 so far today and each time I get credit at the end but as soon as I zone out the quest disappears from my log. When I pick the quest up again it back to 0/5. I have tried taking the quest from the suggested content tab of the adventure guide and from hitting accept when i zone in.

The second one picked up the quest from the pop up when entering a TW dungeon w/o the quest did 5 in a row with no issues.
